Dr. Pennington DVM Reviews
Dr. Pennington and her staff are always friendly, professional, and welcoming to whatever issues me and my pets are having. She’s taken amazing care of my own cats, as well as any neighborhood strays I’ve brought in that need help. I will always recommend her to my friends and family for their animal needs.
Mar 26, 2023 · Meg DugganI would like to say that Dr Pennington and her staff were very inconsiderate when it came to my 13 year old golden doodle needing euthanized. My dog was having some weakness. I called and the office got him in the same day, which I will say they are great with that and it is greatly appreciated. The issue is I was not expecting to have to put my dog down that day and Dr Pennington and the staff would not let me be by my dogs side while he was being euthanized. I had to say goodbye to my beloved fur baby in the parking lot where it was cold and uncomfortable, while my dog was very sick. I asked multiple times if I could please be there with him and even had my husband call and they told us no. If I wasn’t so blind sided and distraught about the news and could think better I would have tried to take my boy to someone who was more considerate of the situation. Dr Pennington made that situation a lot worse for me. My dog who I have loved for 13 years had to be put down with strangers by his side! I just don’t understand how a Veterinarian who I am sure knows how hard it is to make that decision to have your pet euthanized could not be more considerate. Now I have guilt over handing my dog over without fighting more to be by his side during his last few moments of life.
Jan 24, 2022 · Heather MautheFirst of all Dr. Pennington is great but we had the unfortunate experience of somebody filling in when we went to have our dog euthanized. We knew it was his time. Five minutes in the office while we waited on the car she tried to talk us into upping his steroids which we knew was not going to do any good being he was already taking steroids twice a day and they took a toll on him. We already made the decision and a very hard decision to have him feel no more pain. After finally convincing her we found out that we could be with him so we asked to have our dog sent back out. There was no way we would let that happen to our best friend. We left and got a call from the office that we had a $90 bill for such poor service which she did not do anything to help us or our beloved dog and there was no examination that needed to be done or could’ve been done in a very little time he spent in the office. We paid it unwillingly and went on to another vet who had compassion for what we needed to do. We felt no compassion from her. Again Dr. Pennington is great and it was unfortunate that she was not there to help us out.
Sep 23, 2021 · Vickie LumleyI had decided due to circumstances to seek a new vet for my dogs. Dr Pennington was recommended to me. My dog had a cough and she saw me immediately. I have since then taken my other dog. I am very happy with the doctor and her staff. They are very caring and great with my fur babies.
Apr 02, 2019 · Michele BowmanMy cat was bitten by another cat & had a severe infection. The clinic saw her the same day & the upcharge was only $35. The staff was friendly, courteous, and attentive to my cat. She was a rescue that I believe was mistreated & really get yancy around strangers. The tech that came & got her put at ease right away. Highly recommend.
