Northern Pike Veterinary Hospital Reviews
My cat was hospitalized and unfortunately had to be put down. The entire staff was so nice, and professional. The Vet tech even picked out a special blanket for her that matched with her name. These little things show how you are a part of their family not just a transaction.I have been going to the for over 20 years and have always had a great experience. You do wait, and I accept that. I always schedule after I'm done for the day or plan on not going back to work after the appointment. If you want a quick exam, and a vaccine for your pet on your lunch break, this is not the place. Here you get a thorough exam, there is no rushing here.Price is average and is worth it. I just can't say enough positive things.Thank you to all the Doctors, and staff. Kawaii is looking down smiling on you.
May 21, 2025 · Kori NWe have been going to Northern Pike for at least 20 years, if not longer. They have always been wonderful with our dogs. They are a little expensive but you get what you pay for. Dr. Bill is wonderful. Always takes time with our dogs and explains things to us. We always get phone calls with followup information. Our dogs and we all love him. We know that there maybe a wait at times but also know that if we need additional time with our dog being taken care of, it is given to us. They are great!
Feb 21, 2025 · Mary Lou JordanHonestly hate to give this review but don’t want other exotic pets to be misdiagnosed.I brought my ferret in about a year ago for hair loss and itchiness in hopes to get treated. After a physical exam it was concluded that my ferret had adrenal disease, with likely not much time left. I asked what testing was done and no lab work imaging was performed to confirm. In addition there was no treatment options available at the clinic. From previous experience with a ferret with adrenal, I knew it could be treated with lupron and or an implant to assist with the hormone management. At the end of the day I really did not think my boy had adrenal as his hair loss was not consistent with the disease.I brought him to dr.wagner out of north Boro, and it was quickly confirmed from a skin cell scrape he had a bacterial skin infection. He was treated with medicated baths once a week for 3 weeks, and it healed completely. It concerns me greatly that a near terminal disease was diagnosed with minimal testing, even before anything other infections / parasites could have been ruled out. I would not recommend bringing an exotic, or ferret here.
Nov 22, 2022 · Briana KimbleHad an incident on Sunday called Monday morning and they worked my Honey into the schedule. Dr Judy was very nice and explained everything to me. They gave a great description on why they didn't do a procedure to remove her nail. The techs were awesome in handling Honey.
Mar 20, 2023 · John-paul AdamsI was so unhappy with my experience today that I am writing my first review of any business, hoping it will find any audience. I normally have to wait approximately 20 minutes after my appointment time for my dogs to be seen. This has always been irritating but it’s close to where I live, and I’ve been going here for years, so why bother changing vets. I was dreading going to this appointment as I knew it would eat up my whole morning. Today I waited 50 minutes after my appointment time to be seen. Sitting in their parking lot with 2 dogs and 2 children in the vehicle for almost an hour! No communication as to why it was taking so long. Finally they see the dogs. They take their time with the check ups. That’s fine. I want them to get thorough care. By the time all was said and done I had spent almost 2 hours sitting in their parking lot as the payment and check out always take longer than expected as well. The Dr. never apologized for the wait. The vet tech was very nice but she just seemed to think it was normal that they always run so late. I have to go back for a follow up on a vaccine. She told me it wouldn’t take as long for that appointment. But she warned me still don’t expect it to be that quick of a visit. Why is that? Do they over schedule to make a profit? Do they just not care about the customer’s experience? I truly don’t understand. Out of all the appointments one has to attend in life, Northern Pike Veterinary is my least favorite, because they always run so incredibly late.
