Banfield Pet Hospital Reviews
We had to help our beloved Queen Sassy cross the rainbow bridge today. The staff was so kind and affirming on the most horrible day ever. Three of us came with her and they gave each of us a keepsake to remember her by. The tech and the vet asked gentle and important questions about her condition, affirmed that we made the right choice for her, explained everything to us, and gave us as much time as we needed. We can’t thank you all enough for the compassion you showed us and our little Queen.
Jun 15, 2025 · MindyWe have been taking our pets to Banfield for many years and have always been very happy with the care and attention given to our pets knowing they were safe. A special shout out to Fawn and Sam for their care. Thank you!
Apr 16, 2025 · Betsy LundenHave never had issues with Banfield Monroeville. The entire staff from greeter to veterinarian are always super friendly, helpful, and loving to my pet. When my Dawn passed, they sent me a card with everyone's signatures. They have me as a customer still with my two new dogs and we plan to stay with them. Thanks everyone!
Jul 18, 2024 · Corry KerstetterI am over this place. I have had wellness plan for my dog since he was a puppy. He is now 11. I have needed an appointment for my dog to get checked immediately-maybe like 3 or 4 times and every time I call the Monreville location they can not fit my puppers in for an exam. After being with this vet for 11 years- I'm done. PET WELL IN PLUM to the rescue and they were amazing!!! I'm cancelling my wellness plan for sure. Bye Banfield!
Mar 12, 2025 · AmaMy problems started pretty much the moment I first called them. One of my two dogs had been in pain for a couple days and I was trying to find somewhere to have her seen. I have history with Banfield in Dallas, Texas, so figured it best to stick with the name I knew. On my first call to this office on 11/18/2024, I spoke with a woman that continually mixed up why I was calling, continuously kept saying the wrong names of my dog (I have two on file, I'm aware, but they're different enough to keep track of, you'd think), and when I arrived for my appointment on 11/19/2024, I was told she put down my reason for the visit as something completely different and unrelated to anything I had said over the phone the day before.I told them my budget of $300 for this, as I just simply did not have anything else at the moment, and the initial nurse was fine with that. We worked out a solution with me getting their package deal to get all of her tests covered, and I left my dog with them for a few hours.I come back to pick up my dog, and I get told that we were sitting right on that $300 budget, which was great, all medications would be covered, though one had to be shipped out to a compounding pharmacy but it'd be mailed to me in a day or two. Okay, all good there.I got home and found no documentation about any of the diagnoses my dog had received, and when trying to get into their website could also find no documents outlining specific diagnoses or plans of treatment. I also received an email from the compounding pharmacy asking for additional information, so I started that process. Once I got into their website, I was told that medication was going to cost me an additional $50 dollars, which I do not have, and when confronting the office this morning about this discrepancy, I'm told that the medication wasn't covered (despite being very specifically told it was. If it wasn't why did my $160 cost jump to $300? Why is this so much more?) and I'd have to pay for it.Well, I'm now sitting here with a sick dog, unable to afford one of the medications I was told was covered because I just shilled out $300 to these people. Make it make sense, please.I won't be using this Banfield again. I'm not sure if I'll be using Banfield in general ever again, if this is the quality of service they've stooped to.UPDATEI'm now fighting to cancel my wellness plan. I was told, by this hospital, who KNEW I couldn't afford a lot, that it was a month to month plan that could be canceled. That was yet another lie from this scam of a pet care facility. Turns out, this plan is a yearly plan you pay monthly for, and if you want to cancel, you have to pay the remaining months.No.I'm fighting this with my bank first. My card I gave to them is canceled now, so they won't be getting another dime from me. Threaten to take me to collections, and I'm getting a lawyer. Period. I'm tired of dealing with this scam of a company. Y'all used to care about pets; now it's just the money.
