Euclid Veterinary Hospital in Bay City presents itself as a full-service veterinary medical facility dedicated to providing the best possible care for your cherished companions. The professional and courteous staff here strives to create an environment where both pets and their owners feel understood, valued, and cared for. They are committed to promoting responsible pet ownership, preventative health care, and providing valuable educational opportunities for their clients.
This hospital's approach to pet care is rooted in a belief in preventative medicine. They understand that a proactive plan can help prevent small issues from becoming big problems, offering pet owners peace of mind. By focusing on regular check-ups and wellness, the team at Euclid Veterinary Hospital aims to keep your pet happy and healthy throughout all stages of their life. This philosophy extends to the personal connection they build with each patient. Unlike clinics where you might see a different doctor each visit, Euclid Veterinary Hospital prioritizes continuity of care, allowing the veterinary team to truly get to know your pet and their unique needs.
The staff’s dedication to compassion is a cornerstone of the hospital’s service. They understand that a vet visit can be a source of anxiety for many animals, and they go to great lengths to make the experience as comfortable as possible. This is particularly true in their interactions with anxious pets, where the extra effort and patience of the team can make all the difference. However, it is important for any potential client to be aware of the full spectrum of experiences. While many clients, like the one who praised Dr. Smith, have had wonderful experiences, others have encountered communication and administrative issues. Acknowledging this provides a more balanced and factual overview for users. The challenge of a large clinic can sometimes be ensuring that every interaction, from the first phone call to the final follow-up, is consistent and transparent.
The hospital is a full-service facility, meaning they offer a wide variety of services. They are well-equipped to handle many medical concerns, from routine exams and vaccinations to more complex surgical and dental procedures. This means you can rely on one place for most of your pet’s health needs, simplifying their care. The team here seeks to provide a high standard of care to every animal that comes through their doors.

Choosing Euclid Veterinary Hospital is a decision to prioritize personalized and compassionate pet care. As a client review highlighted, a significant benefit of this hospital is the consistency of care. The ability to see the same doctor, like Dr. Smith, allows for a deeper understanding of your pet's needs and a more tailored approach to their health. The reviewer's comment about Dr. Smith sitting on the floor with their anxious dog speaks volumes about the genuine care and love for animals that guides the practice. This kind of personal touch can make a huge difference in a pet’s comfort and well-being.
However, it is also important to consider all available information. The negative review points to potential issues with communication and billing transparency. The client's frustration over a surprise "reactivation fee" and the unfulfilled promise of a reimbursement check and records indicates that there may be inconsistencies in their administrative processes. The experience of "getting the run around" and not receiving a call back is a valid concern for any potential client.
Ultimately, the decision to choose Euclid Veterinary Hospital should be based on a balance of these factors. For those who value a strong, personal connection with a veterinarian who takes a compassionate, hands-on approach, the positive experiences are highly compelling. The hospital's dedication to continuity of care and a comprehensive range of services are strong selling points. However, it is prudent for prospective clients to be proactive, ask questions about all fees upfront, and ensure they have a clear understanding of the hospital's policies to avoid the kind of frustrations some have experienced. When the personal connection is strong, this can be an excellent veterinary partner for your pet's health.

Euclid Veterinary Hospital Reviews
We recently switched from another local vet. Everyone here is very friendly and I felt like they truly care about the wellbeing of my baby, Oakleigh. At our previous office, we would see a different doctor each time we went which made it hard for them to get to know my dog. Dr. Smith is fantastic and she even sat on the floor with my very anxious dog to try and make her more comfortable during our visit. I could really tell that she cares about animals and loves what she does in just our first visit. Very happy with our decision to switch vets!
May 23 · Allie PrzytulaDecided to give this vet another try. What a MISTAKE. Got charged a $50 "reactivation" fee that I was never told about. Had two opportunities to let me know about this but never did. I called multiple times and they said they'd send me my dogs records in the mail with a $50 reimbursement check and NEVER DID!! Then decided to tell me "since I wasn't happy with their services I should seek another vet". I've called several times and gotten the run around with the receptionist and a tech stating they'd give me a call back and THEY NEVER DO. Very disappointed in this vet and will be telling everyone I know my very unsatisfied experience!
June 20 · Julie LoweIt’s a great place to take you pets, I do need an email I can give my pets insurance, you don’t show up in the insurances database, and have no public email for them to contact you to get my pets information. I’ve already sent the money for the start of the insurance, I’d like to be able to set an appointment.
August 15 · Jacob RenoEveryone is super friendly and helpful. They really care about the welfare of our fur baby. Dr Smith and Dr Grappin are very friendly and knowledgeable. We should have taken our fur baby here from the start but we are lifers now.
January 19 · B NI love Dr. Grappin! She is so nice and helpful and sweet with our dogs. We have three, one husky, one Australian cattle dog/border collie mix, and one sharpei/pit mix. You can tell she love what she does. We moved all the way to Hemlock and still make the drive to Bay City rather than switching vets.
