★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Dr. Elizabeth was fantastic during our first wellness visit with my mare, Zuni. I’ve had her for about a year and a half, and while she’s seen a vet before, this was the first time someone took the time to walk through a full, detailed exam with me. As a first-time horse owner, Dr. Elizabeth made everything easy to understand and completely judgment-free. I learned what a crest score is, what a body condition score means, and that my easy keeper is also a terrible test taker 😂A couple weeks earlier, I had seen Dr. Elizabeth and her team respond to an emergency at Zuni’s barn and they were incredibly calm, professional, and compassionate. That made me feel confident knowing they were coming soon for our first well visit.Bonus points for their online portal, which makes accessing records super easy. Grand Strand Equine has definitely earned our trust — highly recommend them to any local horse owners.
June 08 · AlysonDr. Elizabeth and her team are wonderful! I help out around a few different farms and have personally seen her skill set for many different procedures including severe colics, choking episodes, diagnosing underlying issues, suturing bad wounds and so much more. There's been many situations where I'm able to text a video or photo and they can either walk me through what I need to do or come out and help my horse in need.A lot of people seem to have an issue with this veterinarian practice because of the requirement of an annual wellness check. It seems pointless when you believe your horse is healthy, but you don't know what you don't know. It's not fair to the vets when you only call them if your horse is so far in an emergency. Let them look over your horse, maybe they're able to prevent something that you couldn't predict.Thank you for all that you do.
July 14 · Remi MemGoing to share a personal experience with you. My wife and I have used heather and Elizabeth for years. Having between 20 to 40 head of horses at a time. Spent thousands and thousands with them. My wife’s lifelong horse went down today and we called for emergency appointment. Well his wellness exam was not up to date so Elizabeth would not come and let him die. Over a wellness exam. Thankyou we so appreciate everything you have done for us.
October 01 · Todd KramerDr. Heather saved my horse's life last Sunday night when my sweet mare choked. Dr. Heather spent almost 2 hours with her. I'm convinced my Loretta would have died were it not for wonderful Dr. Heather. I am eternally grateful for her and proud for being able to call Grand Strand Equine my veterinarian. We are very fortunate to have them here at the beach. Thank you Dr. Heather.
July 30 · Debra B. WeberRegrettably, Grand Strand Equine will not be at my farm ever again. I thought I had found a vet with whom I could have a long-lasting relationship. SO many 5-star reviews and I am shocked to be the dissenting voice here. I almost never leave a bad review; I just don't like airing my grievances in a public forum. But I'm truly disappointed in the disregard for life by Elizabeth. Its all about the coin: No different than the medical profession in general, I suppose. I got better treatment from old farm hands who had home-remedy experience. It's more in pain than anger that I'm saddened and disappointed.
