Hooves Paws & Claws Introduce
For pet owners in the Claremore, Oklahoma area and surrounding communities, **Hooves Paws & Claws** represents a rare and valuable resource in veterinary medicine. This clinic stands out not just for the compassionate care provided to cats and dogs, but for its unique, all-encompassing dedication to virtually every type of animal family member that might need medical attention—from traditional companions to the most unconventional. As the name suggests, whether your cherished animal has hooves, paws, or claws, the expert team is equipped to provide comprehensive health and wellness services.
Operating as a full-scope veterinary practice, Hooves Paws & Claws is led by Dr. Lesleigh Cash-Warren, who has established a reputation across Northeast Oklahoma for her exceptional thoroughness and deep expertise, particularly with difficult diagnostic cases involving non-traditional species. In a region where finding specialized care for **Exotic animals**, **Birds**, or even certain **Large animals** can be challenging, this Claremore veterinarian fills a critical need. This multi-species capability, combined with a sincere dedication to listening to owners and diagnosing issues correctly, has earned the clinic a loyal following among Oklahoma residents who seek the very best for their entire animal menagerie.
Clients are quick to note the dedication of the staff, citing that while there may sometimes be a wait, the quality of care and the time the veterinarians dedicate to each patient are absolutely worth it. This patient-first philosophy ensures that no animal is ever rushed, and every symptom and concern is given the careful consideration necessary for accurate treatment and lasting health.
The clinic is dedicated to ensuring a comfortable experience for all owners and patients. Recognizing the diverse needs of the community, the facility provides key accessibility features, including a **wheelchair accessible entrance** and dedicated spaces in the **wheelchair accessible parking lot**. These features ensure that clients with mobility challenges can easily bring their animals in for care. Additionally, the clinic provides a clean **restroom** for client use. To manage the high demand for their specialized services and ensure adequate time is allocated for Dr. Cash-Warren’s thorough examinations, the clinic requests that **appointments are recommended**. Due to the high-level, meticulous care provided for all species, calling ahead to schedule is essential for guaranteeing your pet—whether feathered, scaled, or furred—receives their needed attention.
- **Small Animal Care:** Full-spectrum medical, preventative, and wellness care for common pets like dogs and cats. This includes routine check-ups, vaccinations, parasite control, illness diagnosis, and medical treatment for conditions affecting the digestive, respiratory, and musculoskeletal systems.
- **Large Animal Services:** Providing essential veterinary attention for livestock and farm animals, which can include farm calls for services such as injury treatment, preventative medicine (e.g., deworming and vaccinations), and general health management protocols required for **Large animals** on Oklahoma farms and ranches.
- **Exotic Animal Medicine:** Highly specialized care for unconventional pets, known as **Exotic animals**, including pocket pets like the highly-praised **guinea pig** that received a treat, rabbits, ferrets, and reptiles. Services encompass specialized husbandry consultation, nutritional advice, wellness exams tailored to the species, and targeted diagnostics for unique exotic animal conditions.
- **Avian (Bird) Health Care:** Expert diagnostics and treatment for feathered patients, ranging from parrots and canaries to backyard poultry, such as the **rooster** successfully treated by Dr. Cash. This specialized area includes wing and beak care, injury assessment, nutritional guidance, and distinguishing between respiratory issues and localized problems like eye injuries or infections.
- **Thorough Diagnostic & Injury Care:** Across all species, the core focus is on meticulous examination, such as thoroughly cleaning and diagnosing a challenging condition like an **eye ulcer** instead of defaulting to a common, but incorrect, diagnosis like respiratory illness.
- **Compassionate Emergency Consultation:** Demonstrating a profound dedication to animal welfare, the clinic and Dr. Cash have shown a commitment to assisting in urgent situations, even returning calls after hours to provide guidance and ensure critical cases are seen promptly the next day.
- **Unparalleled Dedication and After-Hours Care:** Dr. Cash-Warren demonstrates a level of commitment to animal welfare rarely seen. One client reported that Dr. Cash **called them back after the office was closed** because she noticed a missed call and wanted to ensure the pet was okay. This proactive, caring service is a hallmark of the clinic’s philosophy.
- **Expertise in Challenging Diagnostics:** The clinic is celebrated for its ability to correctly diagnose conditions that other veterinarians might miss or misdiagnose. The successful treatment of a rooster with an **eye ulcer**—a condition that another vet dismissively diagnosed as a common respiratory issue requiring immediate antibiotic treatment or culling—is a prime example of their meticulous, life-saving approach.
- **True Multi-Species Competence:** The clinic’s official scope—covering **Birds, Exotic animals, Large animals, and Small animals**—is backed up by real-world compassionate care, such as ensuring a guinea pig patient received a **treat**, showing attention to the small details that make a pet feel comfortable. Dr. Cash-Warren is also listed as a Director of Medical Care for a local wildlife rehabilitation ranch, cementing her expertise with complex and diverse species.
- **Thoroughness and Clear Communication:** Clients consistently praise Dr. Cash for taking the time to **thoroughly examine** animals, **listen to the full timeline of symptoms**, and **explain everything clearly**. This commitment to clear communication builds trust and empowers owners to participate fully in their pet’s health management.
- **High-Quality Care, Worth the Wait:** While the clinic’s dedication often leads to **long wait times** past the scheduled appointment, clients universally agree that the quality of care—the kindness, the thoroughness, and the ultimate correct diagnosis and effective treatment—make the wait absolutely worthwhile.
- **Owner-Operated Focus:** As the owner, Dr. Cash's direct involvement ensures that the high standards of care, integrity, and compassion are consistently upheld across the entire practice.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- I’ve taken all of my animals here and they are just amazing! They even gave my guinea pig a treat! They have a long wait time but they truly care for every animal that comes into their facility! Love them and very thankful. July 06 · Raylen Case
- I can’t say enough good things about Hooves, Paws, and Claws Vet Clinic in Claremore and Dr. Lesleigh Cash. She’s the only vet who actually took the time to thoroughly examine my rooster and listen to the full timeline of his symptoms. His eye randomly was swollen shut and I was 99% sure he had injured his eye. A few days later, his eye was swollen shut still and his breathing turned a bit raspy, but that was it. He was still eating, drinking, acting totally normal, with a bright red comb and wattle.I called so many vets, and nearly all of them gave the same response: “Swollen eye? Probably mycoplasma or coryza. Best to just cull.” The first vet that finally agreed to see him didn’t even take him out of the crate—just glanced in, said it was probably a common respiratory issue, and handed me antibiotics…. that were expired…We did three weeks of those antibiotics with zero change.I called Dr. Cash’s office without realizing they were already closed and figured I’d just try again the next day—but she called me back a bit later, saying she noticed a missed call and wanted to make sure everything was okay. She spoke with me on the phone for a bit, and based on what I described, said it didn’t sound like a respiratory infection and told me to come in the next day. She thoroughly cleaned my rooster’s eye, diagnosed an eye ulcer from the injury, and gave me the correct ointment to treat it.You may wait a bit past your appointment time—but she’s absolutely worth it. She’s kind, thorough, explains everything clearly, and truly cares. I’m so grateful we found her. 186141% recommend! April 16 · Cari Hillyard
- Dr. Cash is a life saver! We brought in out old heeler who got into a fight and was severely wounded. She cleaned him up and showed us step by step on how to mend his boo boos. He healed perfectly and has zero issues now. She is the kindest most caring vet I have ever met. Not only does she do an incredible job. Most of her animals are saved from previous customers. Just an angel of a human! She definitely has a spot next to the Lord when her time comes. Beyond thankful for her! June 11 · Haley Massey
- Dr. Cash may have a wait on occasion but I promise it’s worth it. Brought my cat in for a urine blockage. Dr. Cash wasted no time taking priority in his care. She placed a catheter and had the blockage cleared. And is now being cared for by her until his release. My animals will continue to see her. August 19 · Lilly Ulrey
- Dr. Cash is a country vet. If you're looking for some fancy-schmancy, latest and greatest medical treatment to keep Fido alive for 50 years, then this isn't the place for you. Her building is old. Her equipment is old. But her experience and wisdom negate all that.If you want someone who cares, but will tell it like it is, then she's your gal. She's a smart lady, and one damn fine veterinarian. She's got a new vet working in there who seems to be on the same page. She came to our house almost a decade ago to put a dog down. After 9PM. That's dedication. You're gonna be hard pressed to find that just anywhere.Thank you, Dr. Cash. April 12 · Tracy Ward
