★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This vet is the reason my cat died. I took her in multiple times and the vet I was seeing who kept ordering the wrong tests stopped responding to my calls. I ended up taking her to another vet in Juanita (Juanita Hills Animal Hospital) who was surprised by how incompetent the other vet was in not being able to find the issue (stomach cancer). By the time I got her to the new vet it was far too late and although I spent even more money to get more tests done she was ultimately in too much pain to continue. So disappointed in Juanita Bay Veterinary Hospital. I had trusted them for years but when my cat actually got seriously sick they didn't take me seriously and had me spend thousands on useless tests.Charlie started with a slight wheeze which I pointed out to the vet at Juanita Bay Hospital, they said it was nothing and probably asthma so they had me order an inhaler through a site that did not deliver it until months after she had passed. As I was waiting for the inhaler to arrive Charlie started vomiting up all the food she was eating so I took her in again and they prescribed antibiotics and steroids that helped with the vomiting but did nothing to improve the coughing. She stopped eating altogether after this so the vet prescribed medication to make her hungrier. This did not help with the vomiting and even with the medication to make her hungrier she could not eat so I was feeding her through a syringe with liquid cat food. She dropped from 13 pounds to 8 pounds in one month and I kept bringing that up to the vet, but they didn't care. She also developed this tooth grinding that the new vet found out was because of the drool and vomit so her teeth were decaying and horribly sensitive for her. At that point she had also developed an upper respiratory infection so her eyes wouldn't open and her nose was runny all the time. Juanita Bay Hospital had blood tests, urine tests, and echocardiograms done but they never looked at her stomach as the issue. I took her the first time to Juanita Hills Animal Hospital and they immediately ordered an ultrasound and X-ray and found the issue with her stomach but it had progressed too much and she ultimately had to be put down.In the end I would never recommend this vet to anyone who actually cared about the well being of their animals. They are fine for checking in on healthy animals but the second your pet is sick they are not to be trusted.I would however, trust Juanita Hills Animal Hospital with my whole heart. They answered every call and sat with me as a cried when they told me that there really wasn't any way to save Charlie. The vet who was looking after Charlie would call me on her off hours to see how Charlie was doing. She had her other vet friends look at the scans to see if they had any thoughts on how to maybe save her at no extra cost to me. She didn't charge me for half of the tests done because they knew how much I had already spent on useless tests at the other vet. They actually made me feel like they cared about what was going to happen to Charlie. Charlie had been with me since I was 14 years old and had been a part of my life for 10 years. She is and was my baby and I would have done anything I could to save her.
August 12 · Sophie DuttonMy 18-year-old cat has been a patient at Juanita Bay Vet for nearly a decade, and I can’t say enough good things about the care he’s received. The doctors and staff are incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely love every pet that walks through their doors. It’s clear that they treat each animal like their own. The clinic is always spotless and well-organized, and even my cats—who aren’t usually fans of vet visits—seem to feel at ease there. I’m so grateful to have such a compassionate and professional team looking after my furry family members.
March 28 · Žaneta NoreikaitėOur two cats, Neb and Brooklyn, have been seeing Dr. Alex Smith here for the last 2+ years. She has been highly compassionate, knowledgeable, and supportive as we navigate the later parts of their lives and try to give them lives that reflect how deeply we love them.Beyond Dr. Smith, everyone here has been great to work with, from the front desk to the vet techs, and we are grateful to have such a great veterinary office nearby to support us and our pets.
June 08 · Zach MarineOur Family could not be happier with the professionalism and love you feel right when you walk in the door of Juanita Bay. You are greeted by Dylan at the front desk. I have watched Dylan show the same love for ALL the different animals walking in the door. My dog feels comfortable which we all know makes the owner so happy! They are very transparent about the cost of your service and they give you plenty of options. I would highly recommend Juanita Bay to anyone that is looking for a veterinarian for their animal. THANK YOU to ALL of the staff at Juanita Bay. 🐾
August 06 · Cynthia HollenbeckJuanita Bay is our regular vet and we like them very much. Entire staff is great. Our 14 yo cat, Spot, had a large cyst on her back. We were concerned about surgery with anesthesia due to her age. The vet checked Spot over and helped us through our fears. Our Dr., Dr Davis, performed the surgery and everything went very well. She has followed up multiple times showing care and compassion for us and Spot. Couldn't be happier with a vet. Very highly recommend.
