The review concerning the limping dog perfectly illustrates this, where a second opinion from Dr. Kumar prevented an unnecessary surgery and led to the dog's full recovery. This indicates a focus on the pet's best interest over immediate procedural income.
- Focus on Optimal Outcomes: The success story of the dog's recovery without surgery, directly attributed to Dr. Kumar's honest advice and referral, demonstrates a commitment to achieving the best possible health outcomes for pets.
- Established Practice: One review mentions visiting the clinic for over 20 years, suggesting a long-standing presence in the community and a history of consistent service, contributing to a sense of reliability for many local pet owners.
- Reasonable Pricing: A customer noted "no nonsense service at a reasonable price!", indicating that the clinic provides cost-effective care without compromising on quality for routine visits.
- Efficiency: The ability to get quick appointments and efficient service is also highlighted as a positive aspect by a long-term client.

Kumar Uthaya DVM Reviews
Very disappointed with this vet. Some years ago I brought in my aging Rotti in to be put down. I paid the extra fee for the cremation and to have the ashes returned to me. After the call I came in, picked up the bag containing the ashes.Years later reminiscing about Alex (she was a Sheppard/Rotti mix) I decided to open the bag and look at the ashes only to find they gave me a bag of cat litter. Too late to do anything about it except to let people know the kind of business practice they can expect.
Jul 06, 2025 · Glynn ShirelyLast year our dog was limping. There was a problem with the hind leg. Since another hospital had suggested a surgery for fixing it we came to Dr Kumar for a second opinion. He made a very honest suggestion to see a board certified surgeon. The surgeon examined the dog and said that we should wait and only if it gets worse, should we think of surgery. So, we waited and after about 4 months the limp started getting better and now the dog has no limp! Thanks to Dr Kumar and the surgeon.
