★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I recently moved to Clearwater. I was traveling 45 mins to see my vet (that I’ve had for 12 years and loved) when my newly adopted pup was diagnosed with (out of control) Diabetes. I told my vet I was going to take him to Largo since it was closer and open on Saturday. That’s why I came here, why I stay is another story! Dr. Daniels is awesome! Her staff is awesome, my techs, Crystal and Victoria were knowledgeable, friendly and informative, and they interacted with my pup as if they’d known him forever! I came out of necessity but stay out of loyalty. This IS my vet now and I would highly recommend them! And his Diabetes is under control now! ❤️
August 27 · Karen PerkinsWe have been taking our little fur babies there for about 7 years now and my fur babies love Dr. Daniel's and her staff. Everyone there is so caring, patient and attentive to our babies. Our babies don't trust alot of people so this is saying alot for them. When we had to put my 11 year old baby boy chihuahua down, they were very patient and sympathetic and so caring. We will never take our babies anywhere else. Thank you Dr. Daniel's and staff.
August 12 · Snowball MalteseThe vet nurses/technicians and veterinarian were lovely. Dog got seen for a new exam, no major fuss, everyone left happy. However, much like my own GP, they suffer from unfriendly administrative staff at the front desk. The eye rolling and fuss I got for forgetting the dog's paperwork from one of the ladies was a real turn-off for a first-time visit. Especially after filling out paperwork a second time I'd already filled out online, and more eye rolling when I said I'd bring the paperwork in later. No, I'm not going to go find a scanner and scan the paperwork in because you don't want to handle the admin. I would hope your prices cover the work of handling patient paperwork on your end. If you're burnt out, I'm sorry. A lot of people are right now. Don't know if they were having a bad day or what, but I'm probably going to establish care at a different practice to see if they can lead with giving some grace at the first encounter.
June 21 · blackfishesMy dogs was showing signs of diabetes and Dr. Daniels went above and beyond in explaining everything to me and getting my pup on the right treatment. The staff has been great and friendly. Some Vets criticized you for having a pug but Dr. Daniels was caring and has worked with Pugs before. I recommend her if you have a pug. Thank you!
February 22 · BangI’ve been fighting to get my beloved Shih Tzu, Polo, the medical care he desperately needs. What I’ve experienced has been beyond frustrating—it’s been a heartbreaking, enraging, and eye-opening ordeal that has left me questioning the integrity of some veterinary clinics. It started when I needed to schedule surgery for Polo’s tumor, which is in his ear and ear opening. I went from vet to vet, only to be met with exorbitant fees, incompetent staff, and empty promises.Largo Veterinary Hospital was no different. When I called to set an appointment, they took my credit card information and told me I’d be charged $75 if I didn’t show. That’s fair. They charged my card the moment I hung up the phone. Without my permission before steppingor not stepping in their clinic. That’s theft.During the exam, they treated Polo’s ear for infection. When the vet tech brought him back, blood was dripping from his ear, on everything. The tech did nothing. She saw the blood, ignored it, and walked out.I had to grab tissues and try to stop the bleeding. Dr Gillespie walked in and stood there, muttering that “bleeding can happen after a treatment. He, no one offering to help my baby. And I paid $300 for this. Before coming in, I asked explicitly if the vet who owns and operates the clinic performs surgeries. They said yes.Just to be told to come back when their contracted surgeon was available.Another appointment. Another fee. Another runaround.
