- A really great vet and vet office! They are affordable, quick, and offer a military discount. The vet worked with me to send my dog’s prescription to Chewy so she could stay on the same heartworm med (they didn’t offer her exact one in office). They were great when my dog needed to be seen same day for an ear infection and great at scheduling out for routine appointments. Thanks! July 18 · Marissa Lindstrom
- We had to make the tough decision to put our 14 year old australian shepherd to rest due to her many health issues. I can’t express how thankful I am to have chosen Lawton Vet Hospital for giving her a peaceful, family filled, loving goodbye. They were so sincere, respectful, humanitarian, and patient with me and my husband. They talked us through the whole process before it happened. She enjoyed the cupcake she got as well 🤍 They sent us a written note a week later and we’ll be receiving a mold of her paw soon. Thank you again Lawton Vet Hospital! July 21 · Theresa Gardner
- PRETTY NICE PEOPLE! I brought in a pup for a fecal exam and tape worm medication as the pup is still only around 9 weeks old. The person I got this little guy from sold it to a family member for way too much and sold it full of parasites and fleas. Because the pup is young I told her I'd take it to the vet to have some medication prescribed for Tapeworm. The lady at the front desk was a sweetheart and her coworkers were also pleasant enough. I could tell the girl that did the intake has dealt with a lot of BS at that place with people bringing in their animals, but I can understand that the world is increasingly weird and her job is probably tough, especially dealing with people who don't take care of their pets.Normally I'd avoid a place like this because they deal with contagious animals and my pup is still being vaccinated, however, this is also one of the places people go to for vaccinations, so I did what I needed to for this pup because worms are gross and can cause problems in a growing young pup as well as humans if they cross contaminate. The gentleman that weighed the pup was real nice and the lady at the desk did great answering my questions. In the end I payed only $53 for the Tapeworm medication and a fecal exam! That's great considering the fact that that dewormers that include Tapeworm medication range from $25 to $40 on the internet. The price for same day care was great in my opinion. The only issue I have at all is that I don't like taking puppies to vet hospitals because of potential exposure risks. Some vet hospitals are just as bad as a dog park, but I brought the pup in a carrier and although I didn't watch him be weighed, his weight was exactly what my scale at home dialed in at (I use a basket on a food scale).I can administer vaccines myself so that wan't an issue and they didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. $53 in and out the door. The young man that took the fecal sample I brought with me gave me two pills to administer to the pup, one day and the other in 3 weeks. He will have that pill at the same time as he gets his 3rd 7 way vaccination. :) I'll bring him back at 15 weeks for his Rabies shot. This place is absolutely suitable to my needs for any tapeworms in puppies and I'll use them to any Rabies vaccinations I might need for an animal going forward. I also hear that the Latonka animal hospital is good so I'll check them out and see if I'd like to go there also. Overall, the experience was fast and reasonable. All of the other places I checked with were "appointment only" so it was very convenient to be able to "walk-in" and have this tapeworm issue addressed. It's disgusting to know that worms are living inside a puppy or dog and those things can get people sick also so it was a no brainer to have this puppy treated ASAP! Thank you Lawton Veterinary Hospital, we are glad to know this puppy was treated as soon as we could get there and will be without those nasty tapeworms soon! This puppy is still too young for flea treatments but we'll bathe him in warm water and Dawn dish soap and remove any fleas we see with a comb until he is 12 weeks and can tolerate a flea shampoo suitable for puppies. We do what we can to keep animals healthy on our end, thanks for the fair prices on your end. We appreciate you folks. July 15 · Demetrice Gordon Sovereign
- I first visited Lawton Veterinary Hospital when I had an emergency for my dog Sadie. They just happened to be the first vet that could get me in that same day, and have since exceeded all my expectations. Dr Webb and her staff are knowledgeable and kind. They have seen all my animals, I recommend her to my family and friends, and I have even taken my parents pets to her for check ups and appointments. My pets are my children, and at Lawton Veterinary Hospital, I feel confident that my babies will get the love and care they need.If you are the giving sort, they also have a Genevieve Fund. All donations are used to cover the cost of animal care for those that need it the most. They will never ask you for donations, so I just wanted to point out that it is there at the front desk as you walk in. Share the love ❤🐶I've included some photos of my pets and others I've taken while there. Enjoy your visit! October 11 · Cris Halye
