Jun 07, 2025 · Edith BerniardI woke up very early on Saturday morning, February 8. My multi-Pooh who weighs 10 pounds downstairs in the kitchen going around and around in circles like you had to potty. I picked him up and he was trimming so bad that he was almost shaking me.Then it got worse I put him back down so he could potty and he went round and round in circles, then fell over on his back and could not even get back up . My first thought he’s having a seizure which has never happened before and it was scaring me very badly. I held him and loved on him and tried to comfort him not doing what to do. I tried again to put him on my bed and he started circling again like he had to potty and he fell off the side of the bed. Again, picked him up and hugged him and loved him in so frantic of what’s wrong. He was shaking so hard. It was almost shaking me. I sincerely thought he was having some type of a seizure or going into a heart attack or having a stroke. I called my vet. His office was closed but gave me an emergency number but that was about 50 miles away so I took him to the Wilkinson Animal Hospital , which was 3 miles away from my home.I was so disappointed in the veterinarian . She started checking him like there was something wrong with his legs and that’s why he was following over. I stress to her that it was much more than that that I thought he was having a seizure or a heart attack in him hard it was for him to even turn over when he fell, and I had to pick him up and how hard he was shaking, it had to be something more serious. But she continued to examine his legs and felt on the right side, the back legs. It seemed to be some joint problem. So she wanted to treat him for that and take x-rays to see if there may be something to do with the inner ear are the vestibular disease. This was an emergency hospital, but yet she took no urgency to care about my dog for the symptoms that I was given to her. I was afraid he was gonna die in my arms until I could get to this hospital. But I will never go back. If I cannot have a veterinarian to listen to me and describe the symptoms that my dog was having and she wanted to treat him for something wrong with a leg she needs a new type of job.I will take him to my doctor tomorrow so that he can have an MRI and be properly treated. This was very scary and heartbreaking.
Feb 09, 2025 · Judie WaltersA cold, injured cat showed up on our back porch shortly before a snow day. We were SO grateful that Wilkinson Animal Hospital agreed to see him on a Saturday- Dr. Romo worked her magic along with Leslie and others. And now we have a healthy, happy kitty (named Pinto Bean) thanks to them. 💙
Jan 18, 2025 · Sarah RambergWhile I absolutely love everyone at Wilkinson because they are truly the best, I so enjoy my visits with Cori and Dr. Romo (even though Cori called my ever so slightly chunky boy “Fatback.” 😂😂)! They truly love my fur kids and take the best care of them, and they’ve taken the time to get to know me over the years. My pets mean the world to me, and it’s such a comfort to have a vet hospital that I trust 100% to keep them healthy and happy!
May 24, 2025 · Stephanie LipkaDr. Romo is great. Her bedside manner with both my dog and myself are amazing. I can’t say enough good about all the staff, the vet, techs(especially Kaitlyn), the front desk ladies, and the veterinary doctors. Wonderful!
