August 26 · PAM HANNAThis is a very difficult review for me, it has taken me 2 months to write a review. On 02/20/25 the unimaginable happened to my Husband and I. We woke up at 2:30 am to our French Bulldog in massive pain and paralyzed. I called around to several ER and had two choices. The VCA Hospital or Missions. I chose Missions even though they were much further away, and the reason why was because of the person who answered the phone, and let me tell you I am so glad I made that choice. She was so kind on the phone, which makes a huge difference. When we arrived a young Lady named Casey came out to help us bring our baby in. She checked us in, took vitals, was very informative, calm and absolutely the kindest person. Then Dr. Timothy Thompson stepped in, he examined our baby, and he too was very informative, kind and honest. We had to make the painful decision to let him go that night, which ripped us apart, everything ounce of my heart was stolen that night.... but I will say this, when Casey brought him into the room, she turned around gave me a huge hug and was crying with me. That right there I cannot tell you how much that touched me, I will never forget her for what she did that night. Same for Dr. Thompson, you could see in his eyes he truly cares for the animals. My Husband and I did not care what the cost was, so when they told us the amount each time they needed to do something we just signed away and approved payment. We'll we left, a few days later I received an email from Mission, explaining that we were over charged and they were refunding us over sever hundred dollars..... that's honesty.Hands down best place ever....Thank you for taking care of our baby and going above and beyond showing us compassion during a difficult time
April 17 · Kyle BlumSaved our dog's life after she ingested 16 times the lethal dose of dark chocolate. She was dying when I carried her in and I understood the odds were she would not recover. This is our veteran son's service dog and he is returning next month. Had we lost her, he would have been crushed.A team of the most competent medical professionals I have ever met. Blessed by God! 🎤 drop.
August 05 · LANCE HECKERMANThis is going to be very long but what I went through last night was the worst experienceI have ever had. I brought my cat in around 9PM because he had been not feeling well and things had taken a turn for the worse. I wish I would have read the other reviews before bringing him in here however I was panicked and it was the only thing open close to me. They took my cat back fairly quickly however I was not brought to a room and given any information for more than an hour after arriving. When they brought me to a room it had not been cleaned and wreaked of animal urine and I had to request to be moved. Dr. Tully came in and told me they were going to have to do an X-ray and ultrasound and all these other things to figure out what was wrong. When I asked how much it would cost she said she would get the estimate and sent in someone else to bring to me which is the paper you see totaling $1489. I was given no explanation as to what each test was for and was already overwhelmed and became visibly upset because that cost was not realistic for me to just try and figure out what was going on so I asked for a minute to collect myself and try to figure out what I was going to do. The vet tech (not Dr Tully) returned with a second paper (I do not have a picture) of a more simplified version and left me alone to look over but the cost was around $700. A different vet tech then came in to check on me (3rd different person I had dealt with and none on the same page about what was going on) and finally gave me some information on what each test was for and we decided on the highlighted in yellow options you see in photo one. They will not do any tests until after you have paid in full so I paid $530 on top of the initial $175 I had already paid just for him to be seen for them to start running tests. I had been there over 2 and a half hours at this point. Dr. Tully then tells me my cat is not cooperating and that they are not going to be able to draw his blood tonight so I will have to bring him back in the morning to be sedated for an additional charge and to have the ultrasound done which I specifically told her I was not ready to have done financially. I had already paid for the blood test but they said they could not do it and she kept pushing for an ultrasound. By this point I said I just wanted what I already paid for and instead she informed me they were just issuing me a refund for the blood tests. Now I understand if my animal was truly acting out and they felt they couldn’t get the blood test but I took him to a different animal hospital this morning and they drew everything just fine. He is vocal but does not lash out at vets. My last straw which pushed me over the edge enough to make this post is looking over my bill they charged me $65 for a medicine I did not even ask for as a last ditch effort without telling me I was being charged additionally for it which is just a medicine basically for upset stomach. They really tried to pinch every penny out of me they could. I left after 1 in the morning with time and money wasted and no answers about my cats condition. Please go anywhere else but here.
August 21 · Hailey RalstonWithin seconds of walking in, Gabriel came out and was a true professional. He had a calming presence and demeanor in a very stressful moment. He informed me of what needed to be done and understood that time was of the essence. The front desk quickly and efficiently checked me in and wasted no time. My pup, Piper is feeling great again. I will suggest your care for anyone with a pet in need. God bless.
