North Oakland Visiting Veterinarian Introduce

North Oakland Visiting Veterinarian offers a unique and highly personalized solution by providing house calls for a variety of veterinary services. This in-home approach is particularly beneficial for pets that experience stress or anxiety when visiting a traditional clinic, or for owners who have difficulty with transportation. The practice, led by Dr. Mark, is dedicated to bringing professional and attentive care directly to your pet in the comfort of their own home.
The philosophy of a visiting veterinarian is rooted in a deep understanding of a pet's comfort and the owner's convenience. By treating animals in their own familiar environment, the team can often get a more accurate picture of their health and behavior, free from the stress of a clinic setting. This personalized service allows for a calm and compassionate experience, whether it's for a routine check-up, managing a chronic condition, or providing end-of-life care. One of the most beautiful aspects of this service, as noted by a client, is the ability to say goodbye to a beloved pet in their favorite bed, with their family by their side, a testament to the compassionate nature of the practice's approach.
While the concept of a visiting veterinarian is centered on house calls, it's worth noting that the practice also has a physical location, North Oakland Veterinary Hospital, where they provide additional services. This hybrid model offers the best of both worlds: the personal, in-home care for which they are known, along with the option for more comprehensive services at a clinic. This versatility is a significant advantage for Michigan pet owners seeking flexible and thorough veterinary care.
North Oakland Visiting Veterinarian is based at 4416 W Walton Blvd, Waterford Township, MI 48329. The practice's primary service area is mobile, bringing veterinary care directly to your home. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Just had a beautiful experience putting our 80# lab down with Dr Mark. He came to the house, she was in her favorite bed. We were able to pet her the whole time. He sedated first so she peacefully went to sleep with us holding her.
June 13 · gina goraLooking at some of the positive reviews, was shocking after the experience I had with Dr. Mark. I wasn’t Going to say anything cause my son goes to him and I didn’t wanna cause any issues but I can’t hold back now. I took my dog in Bella cause she was going to the bathroom 20 times a day. She had a urinary tract infection. He gave me wet food and dry kibble, prescription food I should say, and said to get this to her every day. My dog hated the food she would not eat it. I tried everything. I went back to him and told him my situation and he says a dog will not become anorexic keep on trying to give it to her. I said she will not eat it. I said is there another alternative and he said no. I went back to him again after she lost like 8 pounds. I realize this can’t go on. I try again with them and he said the same thing, I took her to another vet and she was so upset and told me all I had to do is give her cranberry pills which you can get anywhere. Yes it did solve the problem. My opinion on this is that he wanted to make money off his food, and couldn’t care less of how to help my dog. It was several other things, but I won’t get into that. The only positive thing I can say about Dr. Mark he did turn me onto the Librela shot ( arthritis) which really has helped my dogs. Unfortunately, my Bella passed away last week from cancer. All I can say is speak up, and don’t be taking advantage of. I do blame myself for some of this, but Dr. Mark was actually cruel at times. Be careful who you talk here for babies too because for me that means the world.
July 09 · Susan JacobsI have been taking my dogs to Dr Mark for about 10 years. He is the most caring vet I’ve ever had! In 2020 it was time to euthanize my dog & she was having a seizure at 11:00 pm. I called Dr Mark & he met me at his office. He told me I could take as long as I needed with her when she was gone. While she drifted off I stayed for an hour with my sweet girl.
June 30 · Donna HunterDr Mark has been my veterinarian for 20+ years. He is an amazing vet and very intelligent. He has saved countless dogs of mine. He has hoped increase the longevity of my English bulldogs to an average age of 11.5 years. His staff is so professional. They do an awesome job caring for my spina bifida bulldog when I board her there as long as 3-weeks at a time. He also makes home visits to assist in my piggies vet care too. I highly recommend this veterinarian practice.
August 21 · Angela Lynn BudnickWe unfortunately lost our baby girl Roxy last week, but Dr Mark was very kind and compassionate. He sent her for a cremation and we received her ashes in a lovely box and ahold of her paw print. We will miss her very much. This week our baby boy is sick, and Dr Mark got us right in and sent Heifer home with some medicine. We've been patients of Dr Mark for years and he has always take excellent care of our fur babies. His prices can sometimes be a little steep, but they come with a piece of mind knowing that my babies are getting the best care. He comes out to the house to treat the cats, and is available via text 24/7 for emergencies which we were extremely grateful for at midnight Saturday and again at 5am on Sunday when our Roxy first got sick.
