Choosing a vet for your cat is about more than just finding a nearby clinic; it's about finding a place that understands your cat’s specific needs. Exclusively Cats Veterinary Hospital is an outstanding choice for several compelling reasons. The customer reviews provide a powerful testament to the hospital’s unique value. One customer, who had a long and frustrating experience with other vets, found relief and clarity at this hospital. The doctor’s ability to correctly diagnose the cat’s pain, which others had mislabeled as aggression, speaks volumes about the specialized knowledge of the staff. The review also praises their compassionate handling of the cat’s end-of-life care, noting that the staff provided closure and comfort in a way that was deeply meaningful. The personal touch, such as sending a sympathy card with a hand-drawn picture, exemplifies the level of empathy and care they provide.
Another review powerfully contrasts a generic, "dog-centric" vet with the calm, professional environment at Exclusively Cats. The story of a cat's toe injury highlights a common frustration: a lack of specialized surgical staff and long wait times. This customer found a hero in Dr. Brooks, who provided prompt, expert surgical care at a lower cost than the competitor, proving that high-quality, specialized care doesn't have to be prohibitively expensive. The quiet, calm, and "doctor-office atmosphere" is a game-changer for stressed-out cats and their owners.
In conclusion, Exclusively Cats Veterinary Hospital is a perfect fit for any Michigan cat owner looking for a clinic that puts their feline friend first. The combination of its specialized, cat-only environment, comprehensive range of services, and a team that is not only expert but also deeply compassionate makes it an exceptional choice. The hospital’s dedication to understanding feline behavior, providing advanced medical care, and offering profound emotional support to owners makes it a cherished resource in the community. It’s a place where your cat isn’t just another patient but a respected member of the family.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I just want to take the time to acknowledge exclusively cats. I just want to say if you are in need of a second opinion, I would choose this place first! I wish I had known about this place first. It might be a little bit on the pricier side than most vets but it’s totally worth it!! The things that I needed to know… the things that I was wondering about withmy cat ….the things that other doctor was trying to say… like he was aggressive (which was not his character his behavior changed but for a reason). The Veterinary Doctor at exclusively cats told me right away that he was in pain. After numerous vet visits to different places and a few specialist I decided for the quality of my cats life it would be best let him to rest and I couldn’t have done it at a better place than exclusively cats. Not only did they go above and beyond but they also sent me a sympathy card and signed it and even drew his name on there with Angel wings (which his name was also Angel). The doctor got back to me to let me know what was going on with my boy and that I should have comfort in knowing that I did the right thing because he ended up having a rare aggressive cancer that ended up diminishing his neurological health significantly and didn’t have chances of a recovery even if treated . My baby was suffering and exclusively cats put my heart at ease and gave me closure even though it’s still hard some days and I’m still grieving him as I had him for 10 years through a lot of trials in my life but I’m so glad my friend from Church told me about this place. I thank God for blessing me with a little extra time with my fur baby and I thank and bless each and every one of the staff for who they are and what they did and that the doctor was actually able to explain to things to me.I wasn’t looking up stuff on Google or having to find explanations like my previous experiences. Even my doubts about certain things such as fungal infections versus bacterial. She was able to explain to me what it would look like if it was that. I am so thankful for this place. Excellent staff excellent people that care about and are tailored to cats. Thank you so much 🥹💜. My baby is at peace.
March 21 · Amirah MooreYou can take your cats (no one really has only one, do they?) to a noisy, unprofessional, expensive, dog-centric vet with no surgeon on staff, OR you can take them here, to Exclusively Cats.My story starts in May with an accident at our home when one of our girls was triggered by the presence of an outside cat. She promptly attacked her sister, who was just trying to find ott what all the fuss was about. Enter the evil raised catbed made of mesh. While a delight all winter long because it was directly over a floor vent and offered excellent warm therapy during long naps, the mesh bed in May made a bad situation worse when our youngest girl got one of her nails caught in it while trying to jump away from her sister who was losing her civilized kitty mind, blindly lashing out at anything and anyone at all in full guardkitty mode.Blood everywhere from a partially pulled out and hanging nail, I called our local vet, and she was seen within three hours. A fully pulled nail, cauterized nerve, antibiotics, pain meds, and $600 later, we were back home and comfy.Everything seemed to be going well for about 4-5 weeks. Then I noticed her licking her paw a lot. Then I saw pus and blood. Back to the vet. More antibiotics, an x-ray, and $400 later we're sent back home with instructions not to take her for her nightly walks on a harness for two weeks and follow up.Two weeks later, it's the beginning of July, and the toe is still not healing. We're back and told that maybe yes, it's time to amputate the toe. Cost: $600+.But get this: this prestigious and expensive local vet, in a very loud and scary office but with a great reputation, only does spay and neuter surgeries, and the visiting vet surgeon is booked for July and August. They might be able to squeeze her in at the end of September! Are you kidding me? My baby girl has to wait and suffer for more than two months? I don't think so!Enter our hero: Dr. Brooks and all the rest of the caring staff at Exclusively Cats.Seen on a Wednesday in their calm, quiet, doctor-office atmosphere. No stainless steel exam table hovering in the middle of the room. No loud and laughing techs you can hear across the entire building. Just professionals caring about cats and only cats.Operated on the next Monday for less than half of the first quote. Sent home with meds and clear instructions. Great follow-up, answering every question in depth.Needless to say, we found our vet.
July 28 · ChristineExclusively Cats is a super friendly vet clinic! Unlike other vet clinics in my area, Exclusively Cats was able to accommodate my cat for an emergency visit, even though he was not their current patient. He ended up not needing the ER visit after all and their cancelation policy was very good and smooth. We did go for another routine appointment and staff was very friendly and attentive. The overall communication with the clinic was super pleasant. We did lab test and they followed up the next day. And are now we are waiting for a scheduled procedure. And Exclusively Cats is now my cat's primary vet care place!
July 30 · Tess PakhomenkoThis place is amazing. My cat is super stressful and scared. Most vets require him to be sedated to do a general exam because of how nasty he can be because of his fear 😔 but they handled him amazingly! No sedation and they were able to even give him medication!! I highly recommend if you have a car to bring them here. They know what they’re doing and are super kind. From the front desk to the vet tech and the vet herself, everyone was super understanding and kind. You can tell they love their jobs and care very much about the kitties, the exam tables are even structured lower to the ground for the cats! The office is really nice too! So happy I found this place for my babies! If you want the best care for your kitty, bring them here!!!
July 15 · Erika LopezExclusively Cats saved my cat Fuzzy’s life. She had intestinal cancer and a sarcoma on her paw. She had gotten so skinny😥. She’s terrific now, about to celebrate her 15 th birthdayI bring my younger cat Napoleon there too because Exclusively Cats is the best. From the doctor to the receptionist, everyone is great. I get the feeling that they really do care about my cats. The hours are 9-5 which is a bit inconvenient, but it’s worth it.
