★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We've taken our animals to Dr. Schwartz for 10 plus years, and simply put...he's fantastic. He treated our recently passed 13 year-old chihuahua for his entire life. Two years ago, he diagnosed him with early stage congesitve heart failure and was 100% spot on with the cardiologist's secondary opinion upon referral. He prepared us for how the process would go and was compassionate, yet honest with us. It truly made a difference in how we cared for our dog and helped in making end of life decisions. He also called after the dog's passing to personally express his condolences and reassured us that we had been excellent parents to our pet. Most importantly, he treated our animal with utmost care and kindness. Those complaining about costs should consider that caring for a pet is a financial commitment that is not for everyone. In our experience, we would often discuss the clinical value of a prescription or a lab test versus the cost and in many cases Dr. Schwartz would choose NOT to take that avenue. I've never sensed a desire for profit as a reason for any clinical decision he's made. We've always taken his recommendations for food, treats or medical needs as trusted suggestions, not a sales opportunity.Lastly, the staff is always courteous and friendly. You get a sense that they feel like we, and our pets, are part of the family. I guess the strongest indicator of my belief in the practice is that our happy and healthy new 4 month old chihuahua puppy is one of Dr. Schwartz's newest patients!
February 04 · Troy KarpovichWorst veterinary experience ever. We took our 8 week old kittens in for a first checkup and shots and it took over two hours and a $390 on a two for one price. The vet was on a lunch when our appointment time was 3pm? It was only him and a office girl he was training. He poked one kitten so hard, it screamed in pain, and it took the girl 20 minutes to figure out our bill! And we were the only ones there! I wish I could give them a negative star.
June 24 · Gary DavisDr Schwartz and his team really go above and beyond for their pets and pet parents. Today I had to say goodbye to my bearded dragon, and they truly helped me cope through my sadness. Dr Schwartz let me take my time and ask any possible questions I had. The vet techs were also very understanding and helped me more than I ever could have imagined. I felt silly for balling my eyes out over a lizard but they understood how I was feeling and reassured me I wasn’t alone. I could never thank them enough. Whenever I need a vet in the future, for a cat, dog, bearded dragon, whatever pet it may be, I will 100% bring my babies to Clarkston Veterinary Clinic.
March 17 · Jordan GarzaI received 3 kittens on Memorial day weekends whose mom was hit by a car. Due to the holiday, kitten season, and many vets being backed up with appointments due to COVID - it was impossible to get them in anywhere. Clarkston Veterinary Clinic, however, were able to get them in within the next few days. I have taken them here for all their shots since then and their spay/neuters. Dr. Schwartz explained everything and answered every question I had. It is very clear that Dr. Schwartz has been practicing for a long time and is very knowledgeable. Him and the tech Brittany really made me feel comfortable having my little ones put under.
August 04 · Dayna GreenI had a great experience with Dr. Schwartz and his wonderful and caring staff. My poor cat had been sick. My other vet could not find what the problem was. But Dr Schwartz took the time to diagnose and treat her. His staff showed compassion and love for my girl! Thank you Dr Schwartz... You're a life saver!
