Pet Health Center Introduce
The Pet Health Center in St. Peters, MO, is more than just a local veterinarian; it is a full-service Animal Hospital and a long-standing fixture in the St. Charles County community. For over 30 years, this practice has been dedicated to providing comprehensive, state-of-the-art medical and surgical care for dogs, cats, and a variety of unique companions, including Exotic Animals and Pocket Pets. Missouri pet parents seeking a veterinary team that combines clinical excellence with genuine compassion will find a dedicated partner here.
As a modern facility, the Pet Health Center is fully equipped to handle every stage of your pet's life, from essential Puppy and Kitten Vaccinations to specialized Senior Pet Care and compassionate Hospice Care and Home Euthanasia options. A key differentiator for this practice is its ability to offer advanced care, including complex Orthopedic Procedures like TPLO Surgery (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) right here in the St. Louis region. This eliminates the need for many Missouri families to seek external specialty referrals for such critical procedures.
The hospital is proudly women-owned and built on a foundation of trust, collaboration, and client communication. Testimonials frequently highlight the staff's kindness, caring demeanor, and the clean, welcoming environment—a crucial detail for pets that are anxious, like those mentioned in customer reviews who were given a room immediately upon arrival to avoid other animals. They believe in empowering pet owners through education, ensuring you fully understand all recommendations and options for your beloved animal's health.
The commitment to accessible care is evident in the provision of Same Day Sick Appointments/Urgent Care, bridging the gap between routine care and emergency services during normal business hours. This means St. Peters residents can secure prompt attention for non-life-threatening, sudden illnesses or injuries without resorting to a costly 24-hour facility immediately.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- The staff is always so kind, caring, and welcoming. I’ve had nothing but good experiences here.I started going to PHC in 2020 because they were one of very few places during that time that allowed people to go inside with their animals for checkups. They’ve taken great care of my cats in sickness and in health. For end of life care and for new beginnings. I still drive a good deal out of my way to take my babies here. August 23 · Torre Hoffmann
- Excellent experience both for my cat and myself. Staff was very caring and office was very clean and inviting.I was very pleased with the first visit at Pet Health Center. The place was very clean and the staff was very friendly. I liked how Missy and I were given a room immediately upon arriving, which was awesome because Missy gets scared easy by other animals. Everything was handled very professionally and in a very caring manner. August 04 · Darla Mcadams
- My experience was devastating!I brought my cat Jazzy in for surgery to remove stones and she died.Brittney the Vet said she gave her medicine to relax her and she coded. Then she called me at work to ask me if I wanted her to give Jazzy CPR and of course I said YES!! I'm pretty sure Jazzy was already gone. She should of been doing CPR on my cat instead of calling me!!Fast forward she had the audacity to ask me to pay for what she had done to her. Don't get me wrong i told her i would pay because Jazzy was well worth it but she said let me see what i can do. "Really let me see what i can do" Also she couldn't even tell me the medicine she gave her, all she could say is something to relax her. Also she said her heart sounded good, no mur murs or anything. She continued to say oh maybe she had a underlining heart problem. No don't think so because i had her to two places before and they said it sounded good with no problems. I only thought they would give her anesthesia to put her out for the surgery. I never signed anything giving her the rite to give her the medicine. She should of checked her weight to see the amount of any medication. No remorse at all from Brittany, I had more out of her staff then her but not so much from them either.I'm still crushed, hurt and devastated!!You put your trust into people and think they will take care of your animals and look now!I would advise people to ask exactly what they will give your animals and do before leaving them with any vet!!I'm Broken hearted and Miss my Jazzy so very much!!She was robbed from her life and taken from me!! - We had to use their in-home euthanasia service for our cat Dinky today. They could not have been more compassionate and caring. Extremely professional. They did a great job explaining the procedure beforehand and answering any questions we had. They gave us plenty of time to say our goodbyes and just went the extra mile to care for us. Thank you Dr. Kennedy and August! February 14 · Brendan Cassell
- I never write reviews this is my first I have a 3 year old sheepadoodle that has many issues fear based anxious about almost everything unable to be on a leash extreme car fearmaking it extremely difficult to get her to vet and she apparently snapped at vet . Dr Chris did in home visit, he and his tech were wonderful wonderful wonderful (not a typo). He took his time with her even after her major freakout from being restrained, since I forgot to tell him, he didn't loose his composure or give up. We as a group got an exam blood draw and vaccines done without any additional drama. He took what I had to say as far as how I felt the job could be accomplished and didn't ignore my thoughts as " oh she's just a worrywart dog owner" and allowed me to be the one to hold my dog for all of the treatments. If you have a difficult animal you MUST try these guys. I was so thankful for their service as the anxiety about getting her to the vet had been unbearable. I know this is a long review but I had to post it especially if it helps someone like me. August 29 · Lisa
