Phenix Animal Hospital Introduce
For Alabama residents in the Phenix City and surrounding Chattahoochee Valley area, locating a veterinary partner that offers both comprehensive medical care and a deeply compassionate approach is paramount to maintaining the health of their animal family members. **Phenix Animal Hospital**, located conveniently on 17th Ave, has established itself as a cornerstone of local **Veterinary Healthcare**. This full-service facility is dedicated to providing high-quality care for a diverse range of animals, from cherished family dogs and cats to **Large Animal** patients and **Pocket Pets**.
Phenix Animal Hospital focuses on a complete lifecycle approach to pet wellness, emphasizing **Preventative Medicine** as the key to a long and healthy life. Their services span from routine **Physical Exam** and **Routine Preventive Care** to complex diagnostics and advanced surgical options. The clinic is well-equipped with modern technology, including **Digital Radiography** and a fully **Stocked Pharmacy**, ensuring that the team can provide accurate diagnoses and immediate treatment. Their commitment to technological advancement is highlighted by their use of **Laser Surgery**, a superior technique that results in less pain and quicker recovery for pets undergoing various procedures.
A significant differentiator for this Phenix City veterinary clinic is its capacity to handle a wide variety of animals and medical situations. While many local clinics focus solely on small companion animals, Phenix Animal Hospital extends its expertise to **Large Animal** care, which is a vital service for the agricultural and equestrian communities in Alabama. Furthermore, the practice keeps a compassionate perspective, offering comprehensive services like **Hospice And Euthanasia** care to support families during the most difficult of times.
The staff’s dedication to patient welfare and client service is strongly supported by real-world testimonials. One client, who was urgently seeking care for a doberman puppy on a Saturday, highlighted the clinic's ability to act quickly in a crisis. They praised the front staff for being "kind and caring," the vet tech as "an angel," and singled out **Dr. Mitchell** for being "extremely thorough, kind and gentle" with the pup. The client specifically noted that the team helped their puppy get the fluids and oxygen she urgently needed. This immediate, high-level attention during an emergency situation, especially on a Saturday morning when many clinics are closed, showcases the hospital’s commitment to community well-being and urgent care. This level of service often leads clients to wish they could make Phenix Animal Hospital their new permanent clinic, a powerful endorsement of the quality of care provided.
The availability of the clinic on Saturday mornings provides a crucial window for pet owners who cannot make appointments during the typical Monday-Friday hours. While they do not offer 24-hour after-hours service—instead recommending area emergency clinics for overnight issues—their Saturday hours ensure that the local community has access to quality care and emergency triage during a time often inaccessible at other practices. Dr. Mitchell, a graduate of Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine, is noted for his broad professional interests, including a specialization in various types of **Animal Surgery**, with a particular focus on the benefits of **Laser Surgery**.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- This was the only vet we could find on a Saturday that would see our doberman puppy urgently. But what a blessing!! The front staff was kind and caring, helped us get in as soon as possible. The vet tech was an angel, so good with our puppy, got her the fluids and oxygen she needed. Dr. Mitchell was extremely thorough, kind and gentle with our pup, and so friendly. Unfortunately this happened while we were out of town (currently we live in NC) or else we would make this our new permanent vet clinic. Thank you so much Phenix Animal Hospital! December 02 · Abby

- Muzzled my very sweet dog without reason. If you aren’t comfortable enough to handle a dog without a muzzle (except when aggression is shown and a muzzle is required) then you probably shouldn’t be working with animals. I’m a groomer and I don’t do that regardless of size or breed. Cancelled my neuter appointment because I’m not confident that my dog wouldn’t be muzzled every time he was handled. - I don't understand when you have an opponent for 4PM and are told it's going to be a 40 minute wait? Why make an appointment? I'm disappointed super nice veterinary clinic but when you get rude over the phone with my wife when she is willing to compromise that is it no more of my money. April 18 · Jason Lyles
