Sharp Animal Hospital Services
- Veterinarian
- Breeding ServicesMost animals give birth without any complications. However, mothers occasionally need help with delivery. We usually attempt to resolve the problem using medical therapy first, but when that doesn’t solve the issue, we will perform a caesarean section.
- DentistryImagine what your mouth would feel like if you never brushed your teeth or went to the dentist. For many dogs and cats, this is a painful reality. According to the American Veterinary Dental Society, more than 80% of dogs and 70% of cats have dental disease by the age of 3.
- DermatologyWe can often diagnose a skin problem by simply examining your pet. Some dermatologic diseases or conditions do require additional diagnostic procedures to ensure a correct diagnosis.
- Emergency Care
- EndocrinologyIdentifying endocrine problems as early as possible is important in dogs and cats. These serious, potentially life-threatening conditions are more manageable when caught early, allowing us to begin proper treatment. Contact us if your pet begins panting excessively, develops any skin issues.
- Flea ControlA flea problem on your pet means a flea problem in your home. Understanding the flea life cycle and methods for its control can be a daunting task. We will gladly assist you in this process. We can provide you with safe, effective flea prevention and if necessary, flea treatment.
- Heartworm PreventionWhen they bite, mosquitoes can transmit heartworm infection. And those heartworms can wreak havoc on your dog or cat. These parasites can severely and sometimes fatally damage the heart, lungs, and blood vessels.
- Medical AssessmentTo ensure a proper diagnosis, we often need to examine your pet. We begin a medical assessment by looking at your pet’s eyes, ears, and skin and checking his or her cardiovascular, neurological, gastrointestinal, and skeletal systems for any abnormalities.
- Medicated BathsMedicated baths can help ease many skin conditions in your pet. If he or she suffers from seborrhoea (a noncontagious condition that can cause skin to become dry and flaky or oily and scaly), a medicated bath can help alleviate the itching.
- MicrochippingMicrochipping is a safe, permanent way to identify your pet in case he or she becomes lost. A microchip, which is a tiny device about the size and shape of a grain of rice, is placed just under the loose skin at the back of the neck.
- NeuteringNeutering your pet has many benefits. The procedure, which prevents male animals from reproducing, can help your dog or cat live a longer, healthier life. Neutering will not change your pet’s personality.
- Pet WellnessBringing your pet in for an annual diagnostic and wellness checkup can help reassure you that your dog or cat is healthy, or help us detect hidden diseases or conditions early. Early detection can improve the prognosis of many diseases, keep medical costs down, and help your pet live longer.
- RadiologyX-rays provide valuable information about a pet’s bones, gastrointestinal tract (stomach, intestines, colon), respiratory tract (lungs), heart, and genitourinary system (bladder, prostate).
- SpayingSpaying your pet has many benefits. The procedure, which prevents female animals from becoming pregnant and reproducing, can help your dog or cat live a longer, healthier life. Spaying will not change your pet’s personality.
- UltrasonographyUltrasonography (also called ultrasound or sonography) is a noninvasive, pain-free procedure that uses sound waves to examine a pet’s internal organs and other structures inside the body. It can be used to evaluate the animal’s heart, kidneys, liver, gallbladder, and bladder; to detect fluid, cysts.

They came in for their annual shots and a checkup, Doctor Moore was patient, kind and very considerate of our cats and their comfort. I am so so thankful to have a wonderful vet like Doctor Moore to go to for our cat's care. The prices are very reasonable, I am so grateful for Caldwell Veterinary Clinic! April 24 · Ashley Smiley
- This is the best veterinary clinic I’ve ever been to, thanks to Doctor Ken Sharp. He’s the most compassionate doctor. Very trustworthy, kind, and beyond fair with pricing. I drive from Atlanta to continue coming to this clinic. July 29 · jessica melendez
- What wonderful and accommodating folks, they've always been so kind to us and our pets over many years. Dr. Sharp and his Team are the most caring people and have been there for us during some really desperate times with our animals including lighting the candle for them. As long as I'm able, I'll never go anywhere else! November 16 · Ranger Dodd
- Best vet in town! Forever grateful they are quick to respond, treat our many pets with love and respect, and they are one of the only vets in the area to open on Saturdays which is great for emergencies. I cannot recommend Dr Sharp and his team enough! August 16 · Rebekah Heiland
- Caldwell Animal Hospital was absolutely wonderful in providing my doggy's dental cleaning. He is 11 years old and only 7lbs, so I was nervous about him having to be put to sleep. Everything went well though, he had 2 teeth pulled and no complications. He didn't even seem like he had any pain at all, even on the day of the procedure. He was running around like nothing even happened only 2 hours after waking up from anesthesia (the picture was taken outside the vet when my fiance picked him up)!!! Thank you Caldwell for providing such amazing, loving, affordable care for my baby. February 28 · Lauren Chris Beman
