Priority Paws Veterinary Urgent Care Introduce
For pet owners in Pennsylvania, the experience of a pet suddenly becoming ill or injured can be a source of significant stress and worry. While your family veterinarian is your primary partner in your pet’s health, they are not always available to handle the unexpected. This is where a veterinary urgent care clinic plays a vital role. In Hanover, a community-focused practice called Priority Paws Veterinary Urgent Care has emerged to fill this crucial need, providing a specialized service that bridges the gap between a routine vet office and a 24/7 emergency room. They focus on delivering prompt, professional, and compassionate care for companion animals when their primary vet is closed or unavailable.
Priority Paws Veterinary Urgent Care is built on the principle of accessibility and timely care. They understand that minor illnesses and injuries often happen outside of regular business hours, and an emergency hospital can be both a costly and a stressful option for non-life-threatening conditions. Their purpose is to provide a reliable alternative for pet parents facing these situations. The clinic is equipped to handle a wide range of common issues, from a cat's urinary tract infection to a dog's sudden bout of vomiting or lethargy. The goal is to get pets comfortable again and to provide a clear path to recovery, all with the speed and attention that an urgent situation demands.
The compassionate and professional approach of the staff is a recurring theme in customer reviews. Clients have expressed immense gratitude for the care their pets received during scary times. One review recounts a dog that appeared to have had a stroke or poisoning, and the team at Priority Paws saw the pet immediately, providing treatment and follow-up care. The reviewer’s relief is palpable, noting the team’s compassion and professionalism, which helped both the pet and the owner through a difficult ordeal. Another client praised the clinic for being "quick and very reasonable," especially when compared to the high costs associated with a full-service emergency animal care facility.
Priority Paws Veterinary Urgent Care is located at 1139 Baltimore St, Hanover, PA 17331, USA. This location makes it easily accessible for residents of Hanover and the surrounding areas, providing a much-needed local option for urgent pet care. The hospital has made a clear effort to be accessible to all members of the community, offering a wheelchair-accessible car park and a wheelchair-accessible entrance. The availability of on-site parking and a free parking lot also adds to the convenience, making it less stressful for pet owners during a time of need.
As an urgent care facility, Priority Paws primarily handles conditions that require prompt attention but are not life-threatening. They do not provide routine preventative care like vaccinations or regular check-ups. Instead, they focus on a specific set of services that fall within the "urgent" category, ensuring that they can address those needs effectively and efficiently.
While the provided information is limited to a general "companion animals" service, based on the nature of an urgent care clinic and the customer reviews, we can infer some of the services offered.

What is worth choosing?
For pet owners in Pennsylvania, choosing Priority Paws Veterinary Urgent Care is a smart decision for a specific, yet common, need. The most compelling reason to choose this clinic is its dedicated focus on urgent care. This model is a tremendous benefit to the community, as it provides a solution for situations that are too serious to wait until the next business day but do not warrant a visit to a 24/7 emergency hospital, which can be expensive and overwhelming. The clinic's ability to see pets immediately and provide swift, effective treatment for issues like a UTI or a sudden illness is invaluable.
The reviews from real customers further solidify this choice. The a-bility of the doctor and staff to handle a very scary situation—a dog appearing to have a stroke—with compassion and professionalism is a testament to their skill and empathy. The positive experience of the pet parent and the successful recovery of their pet highlight the quality of care provided. Additionally, the fact that the services are "very reasonable" in price compared to a larger emergency facility makes this a financially sound option for many families. For a pet parent who wants a reliable, compassionate, and efficient resource for those moments when an unexpected health issue arises, Priority Paws Veterinary Urgent Care is an exceptional and highly recommended choice in the Hanover, PA, area.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My cat had a UTI on 5/25 their opening weekend. Make sure you observe your pets potty time. They got him all better. They were quick and very reasonable, especially compared to an emergency animal care.
August 05 · Micah RothSo happy to have this urgent care available in our community! Last weekend my dog became very ill and appeared to have a stroke or poisoning and they saw him immediately and began treatment and aftercare to get him comfortable again! After I returned home he had a slight relapse I called they saw him again ran more tests and continued to access him more thoroughly to be sure he was safe and out of danger. Thankfully by the following day he began to rebound and eventually fully recovered! So grateful for the Dr and staff who took care of him during a scary time with much compassion and professionalism!
August 04 · Jamie MinnichWe are so happy to have Priority Paws so close to home. They took care of one of our babies, Manny, a few weekends ago and they took such good care of him. The staff and the vet are pleasant and caring. The vet was calm even though we were freaking out, which helped us to calm down.Yes, this might cost more than a regular vet but it is great care for when you need it. They also try to see you quickly which is appreciated!
August 05 · Krystele RichardsonWe’re so happy this place opened up! We couldn’t find any vets local with any available appointments (even sick appointments)- everything was booked for weeks. Then I remembered passing this urgent care the day before and seeing they were open! We brought our dog in to get checked out for a UTI. From the moment we walked in everyone there was super nice and made us (and our pup) feel really comfortable. The place was clean, calm, and had a really friendly vibe. Even our dog loved it! So glad this spot opened up locally—it’s super convenient and the vet was great. Definitely recommend!
June 17 · Jamie KellerhouseI've always hoped I'd never have take my dog to an urgent care, but when it did happen, I was glad Priority Paws was there for our baby. The staff was sweet & their prices reasonable. If we could give them more than 5 stars, we certainly would!!
