★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Dr. Kindra and the rest of the staff were amazing to work with! We traveled 5 hours to Rood and Riddle and I would make the drive again if necessary. My horse was unfortunately diagnosed with Esophageal cancer. Dr. Kindra was very informative and gave me her recommendations on the best care for him. They even had the surgery staff evaluate the scans and were very honest, recommending against the surgery in his case.Even after taking my horse home, Dr. Kindra would check in regularly and continued helping with medication changes when necessary. She even took the time to send a personalized sympathy card when I had informed her of his passing. It was very much appreciated. She cared just as much for my 20 year old backyard horse as she would have for an elite competition horse.
April 02 · Rebecca NowakDr. Alexander is absolutely amazing! So kind, so thoughtful, so attentive. My horse loves him, too! Not only does he help with any issues that arise, he did a wonderful chiropractic adjustment on my horse as well. I am so grateful for Dr. Alexander and Rood & Riddle!
May 13 · Sarah Von NiedaDr. Broyles & staff took the best care of my boy in what could have been an emergency situation. They were efficient, thorough, & incredibly kind, all while keeping our horse comfortable & out of pain. It was also our first time as owners in the situation, & they made sure to explain everything well. I cannot thank the whole Rood & Riddle team enough!
April 17 · Saylor PMy precious late mare was diagnosed by UT with severe Asthma and Right sided heart failure shortly after being infected with Anaplasmosis from a tick bite. She was on a large dose of Lasix 2 x day. Only treating the symptom and not the cause. I could not get any local vets, who shied away from her case, to acknowledge that she had 90% of the symptoms of chronic Anaplasmosis, which also includes Pulmonary Hypertension tension and Right sided heart failure. My horse had zero health problems before the tick bite. I wanted to bring her to Rood Riddle to get a second opinion and if possible, add new treatment options. I began sending all her records 8/21/24 and they received all by 8/23/24. She doesn't trailer well so we needed to get a plan, including cooler weather to get her there. The only time this facility reached out to me was on 8/22/24 via email to get a password in order to view her records at UT. I responded with the password and said, "please let me know if you have problems getting the images and I will take care of it ASAP." I left a phone message 8/22/24, 8/23/24 after submitting final info. and images and wanted to talk to someone regarding a plan. I did not receive any correspondence but waited on cooler temperatures. I called back 10/2/24 to get a plan and no one called me back. I called 11/7/24 very perturbed and spoke with Whitney. She said someone will definitely call back by the end of the day. No one called back and not the next day or the next! I NEVER heard from them! I had to say "Good Bye" to my precious mare on 12/1/24 never having received a second opinion. I will NEVER waste valuable time again with this Veterinary facility.
August 26 · Elizabeth SchraderRood and Riddle only care about your money. They are not here for your horse or you. They recommend a surgery on my horse, and I let them do it. 3 other vets came out after my horse was home and through rehab and they all told me the surgery ruined my horse, that it should be put down, I was also told the horse was to old for the surgery by the other vets. Over 10k in surgery and "corrective shoes" and the horse was worse then the first time it was taken here. Do not go here, find someone who cares, there are plenty of good horse vets in this area other then this money grabbing bunch.
