Simi Valley Animal Urgent Care Introduce
For pet owners across the California region, the moments when a beloved animal faces a sudden illness or injury can be incredibly stressful. **Simi Valley Animal Urgent Care** serves as a vital resource in the Simi Valley area, offering specialized **Animal Urgent Veterinary Care** designed to bridge the gap between routine veterinary visits and full-scale 24/7 emergency hospitals. This facility is dedicated to providing prompt, high-quality attention for pets requiring immediate care for conditions that are serious but not imminently life-threatening.
The clinic’s mission is rooted in compassionate and thorough treatment, ensuring that pets are stabilized and managed during stressful times. Unlike a standard primary care veterinarian, this facility is equipped to handle urgent medical situations with efficiency and expertise. Critically, the staff and veterinarians, such as the highly praised Dr. Anush mentioned in local reviews, are known for their exceptional bedside manner, treating patients with kindness and empathy, while actively including owners in the treatment process.
A distinctive hallmark of Simi Valley Animal Urgent Care is the commitment to follow-up care. Multiple customer testimonials highlight the practice of staff members calling the following day—and sometimes twice—to check in on the pet’s recovery and provide comfort to the owners. This level of personalized, post-visit attention demonstrates a genuine care for the patient's well-being that is highly valued by California pet families. Services are reported to be **reasonably priced** for the urgent nature of the care provided, offering an accessible option when the unexpected occurs.
Simi Valley Animal Urgent Care is centrally and conveniently located, making it a reliable destination when prompt travel is essential for a pet's health crisis. Its physical location offers significant advantages for accessibility and parking.
- **Address:** 5105 E Los Angeles Ave Suite A, Simi Valley, CA 93063, USA
The facility prioritizes client comfort and accessibility, which is particularly important during stressful urgent care visits:
- **Wheelchair accessible entrance** is provided for ease of access.
- **Wheelchair accessible parking lot** is available, minimizing travel distance from the vehicle.
- **Wheelchair accessible restroom** ensures convenience for all visitors.
- **Wheelchair accessible seating** is provided within the facility.
- **Amenities:** Restroom facilities, including a Gender-neutral restroom, are available.

- **Service Options:** The clinic provides **Onsite services**, meaning care is delivered directly at the facility.
The core offering of this facility is targeted, immediate care for acute conditions, focusing on treating problems that cannot wait for a routine appointment but do not necessarily require the most advanced life support of a 24-hour critical care center. While the general service type is listed as **Animal Urgent Veterinary Care**, based on customer anecdotes, the care includes:
- **Toxicology and Poisoning:** Treatment for accidental ingestion of harmful items, such as the reported case of a German Shepherd that ate 15 chocolate chip cookies, which requires immediate medical intervention to manage the effects of the toxins.
- **Injury and Trauma Assessment:** Evaluation and initial treatment for sudden injuries, minor wounds, sprains, or trauma from a scare or accident.
- **Acute Illness Management:** Diagnosis and management of sudden, severe sicknesses, such as respiratory distress, persistent vomiting, or acute pain that requires immediate stabilization and medication.
- **Non-Life-Threatening Emergencies:** Care for conditions like severe gastrointestinal upset, urinary issues, or concerning lethargy where the pet needs prompt attention but may not be in immediate danger of death.
- **Diagnostic Services:** Performing rapid diagnostics, though specific tools are not listed, urgent care requires timely lab work, X-rays, or other tests to determine the cause of the acute problem.
- **Initial Stabilization:** Providing necessary stabilization, pain relief, and medication to ensure the pet is comfortable and their condition does not deteriorate while a definitive diagnosis or treatment plan is developed.
- **Kitten/Abandoned Pet Triage:** Initial assessment and care for vulnerable animals like the abandoned kitten mentioned in reviews, providing critical first steps in their health and recovery.
The specialized focus on **Animal Urgent Veterinary Care** confirms that this clinic is not intended for routine vaccinations, wellness exams, or elective procedures like spaying or neutering. It is strictly for pets facing a sudden, worrying medical event.
Simi Valley Animal Urgent Care stands out in the Ventura County area due to its dedicated focus and outstanding patient experience:
- **Dedicated Urgent Care Model:** The entire facility is structured to handle immediate, non-life-threatening crises, allowing pets to receive timely care without the sometimes prohibitive costs or wait times of a 24-hour full-service emergency room.
- **Exceptional Patient & Owner Experience:** The staff is consistently praised for being **thorough and kind**, fostering a comforting atmosphere during stressful health scares.
- **Proactive Post-Visit Follow-Up:** The consistent practice of making follow-up phone calls to check on the pet's condition is a major highlight, reflecting a deep, personal commitment to patient recovery and owner peace of mind.
- **Reasonably Priced Urgent Services:** Testimonials indicate that the cost of services is fair and reasonable for the urgent nature of the attention provided, making it an accessible option for urgent needs within California.
- **Superior Accessibility and Parking:** The abundance of free, accessible parking (lot and garage) and complete wheelchair accessibility makes the experience less stressful for owners needing to rush their pets in for care.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- We’ve taken our dog here multiple times after some scares, and just recently took an abandoned kitten here. Every time we’ve visited, the staff and vets are so thorough and kind, and treat the animals so well. I truly feel like they care about their patients and us owners. I love that every time we come, we always get a phone call from them the following day just to check in on how the pet is doing. Reasonably priced for their services as well! - Highly recommend!! Comforting staff. Dr. Anush was so wonderful with my sweet German Shepherd that had counter surfed and ate 15 Costco chocolate chip cookies. They have already checked in on her twice. I'm grateful to have an Emergency Vet close to home. March 07 · Adrienne Ellis
- Our dog (Josie) was bitten by a rattlesnake and we took her immediately to Simi Valley animal urgent care. They saw her immediately and took some tests and gave her the anti-venom vaccine. While she had some initial problems, the Dr. stayed with her until she was out of danger and checked her diligently every 15 minutes thereafter. After about 4 hours, we were able to take her home where she's fully recovered. Not only were they top notch, the entire staff was very sensitive and shared our concern about Josie's wellbeing. They did everything they could to explain what they were doing and what to expect both immediately and for the days to come. They followed up the next day just to see how she was doing and to answer any questions. While everything ended happily for us, we can't thank them enough for their concern and attention to our dog. They treated her and us as if Josie was their own. They are a first class organization and if you need care for your pet, we highly recommend them. June 07 · Steve Megel
- My dog has a red eye , I took him to urgent care , because our doctor made an appointment in 2 days I didn’t wanna wait ..I think they are the best !! No people . Walk in . Very clean ! Comfortable couches and personal is soooo friendly . I paid $100 for visit . They did a test ( to check if he has scratch on his eye or it’s just an infection) , that test is $99. And I’m waiting for a result now ..just wanna say , it’s very cheap ( compare to woodlands hills urgent care , they charge $200 only for a visit ) January 13 · Anna Varlamova
- I just want to say my family and I have been thrown through a whirlwind of emotions as our 2.5 year old dogs health started going down hill FAST in a matter of a couple weeks. Although it looks like it may be a long road of diagnoses and fighting.. Dr Anush and the staff here made us feel not just cared for but the peace of mind knowing they truly have our pets best interest at heart. They were so sweet, friendly and pointed us in the right directions. Thank you guys for a good experience during such a heart wrenching time. Highly recommend. June 15 · Kaitlyn Prisk
