Small Door Veterinary - West Village Reviews
I had a great experience at Small Door in West Village. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, and the doctors took their time to ask thoughtful questions about my cat, Noodle, before administering his vaccines. They even complimented me on the intake form, which was such a sweet touch! I really appreciated that they let my cat Noodle roam around the room to get comfortable—it made a big difference in easing his nerves. The whole appointment was quick, efficient, and handled with such care. Everyone was lovely, and I left feeling really good about the visit. Highly recommend! (he slept all night long after his vaccines)
Mar 21, 2025 · Anna LebedevaThis was my puppy’s first exam after switching over from another vet. The office is bright and clean and the staffs are so friendly. I do have a membership but given my puppy needs the rest of her vaccines and extra exams, I decided to purchase the wellness plan bundle which I think is worth the price. I love the access to 24/7 telehealth as well and have been very useful when I accidentally thought my puppy swallowed a squeaky toy. They are also transparent with their pricing which is very helpful. Only recommendation I have for this office is to sweep or clean the exam room floors as there were a lot of dog hair from a previous visit.
Aug 09, 2024 · Nicole KimIt's always a little stressful trying to find a vet for your Doggy, I got to say I was completely impressed with Small Door Veterinary! Right from the minute you step foot in the door you're greeted by the person at the front desk that greets you get up from behind the desk walks around and pets your dog. It's an incredibly nice place very well organized the rooms are nice and clean and very modern. Everybody was really welcoming, this might sound funny but something that really stuck out to me is that they really generally love animals and you can tell right away the way they engage with your pet and that made me feel incredible right away. Dr. Victoria Hensel really was amazing and is very knowledgeable and caring! If you haven't been there yet you have to stop by you will walk away amazed!
Jun 25, 2025 · David DotlichLove Small Door! Always easy to get an appointment, always starts on time, easy to get in touch with. My dog also likes them and doesn't dread going. They do puppy playgroups for dogs under 16 weeks who haven't finished their vaccinations so they can socialize with other puppies, which is amazing!
Jun 20, 2025 · Amanda TheilerI brought in my 4yo cat for the first time ever to this vet after he started eating less. Unfortunately he was diagnosed with lymphoma and only had a few weeks left to live. Overall, it was as good of an experience as it could possibly be. I was interacting with Dr. Eliza O'Callaghan, and she was great throughout. She was always quick to answer emails, we spoke on the phone a few times and I found her demeanor very calming throughout the awful process. She made it clear she was available to me at all times for questions and support. If I get a pet again in the future, I will definitely bring them here.
