Dr. Alena has established an amazing vet practice here in Greenwich Village. Jun and I and our dogs went to the opening party. Dr Alena was kind enough to give us some insight on our dog Oreo. He has issues.. welcome to the neighborhood Good Vets , we will definitely recommend.
May 14, 2024 · Michael FinkWe love Dr. Alena and GoodVets West Village! We first brought our kitten in at just over 12 weeks old for his checkups and vaccines and are always so happy with the service, care and attention the whole team gives our baby. The location is also incredibly convenient in West Village and the whole office is brand new and cheery. Whenever we have any questions or issues, we are able to chat through the portal easily or give the team a call - they were even able to get us in for a visit within a few hours of call when our kitty had a minor issue. Thanks for taking such good care of our kitty!
Mar 07, 2025 · Julia NagleLeaving this vet after an unpleasant third visit. The vet’s altitude changed drastically after the friendly first visit.Apparently, my dog is not trained enough for this vet. When the vet tried to check on the back of my dog, my dog was distressed. The vet basically scolded at me saying that I need to train my dog and my dog can’t do whatever she wants.I was literally shocked—is this something I supposed to hear from a professional vet. Leaving how much training I have given to my dog, I do agree on what the person said, but hearing from a vet, no way. She could have handled this situation at least more professionally. But I really appreciate all the work of the assistants and receptionist who gave me flexible schedules.
Jan 20, 2025 · Scarlett H.Dr. F and the team at GoodVets West Village are compassionate, responsive, and very good listeners. Dr F showed up for "Rusty" with interest, enthusiasm, and solid clinical acumen. She also easily handled the negotiations my partner and I were making about euthanasia, as she understood both of our perspectives (one of us holding on, one of us wanting to let go) and helped us to find compromise. We were so sad that our "Rusty" had to leave us quickly, as we wanted Dr. F to send him on his way. Even tho Dr. F did not perform the final procedure (we were out of town), her follow up was extensive and greatly appreciated. She reached beyond what was required. A shout out also to Wendy, Kaylah, and Mia who also round out the GoodVets team. I recommend GoodVets in The West Village most enthusiastically. And so, I believe, would our "Rusty" boy.
