South Buffalo Springs Animal Hospital Reviews
Love the staff. We have 2 dogs and had been going to a vet in southern highlands but they changed owners and said no more dogs over 12 our shitzu is 16 now. We went to buffalo and they were more than welcoming. Recently my little guy had a problem with his eye they were quick to try treatment and when they realized he had a problem they had to remove his eye they were so compassionate and sweet. And my boy (whom I affectionately call one eyed willie) is doing great and super happy!
Jul 13, 2025 · Jeremiah WardMan this place really fell off. It used to be a good experience going here. I needed a Lions cut and wasg on my cat (I know they aren't groomers) and she needed a vaccine. My appointment was set for 8:30 am, dropped her off just after 8 and she wasn't ready till almost 4pm. And to be honest, I would probably still be in the waiting room waiting for her if I didn't speak up. They called me at 2, said she'd be ready by 3, I got there at 3:15 and left the lobby just after 4. All this also cost my 150 bucks. Look what they did to my cat. Complete disappointment.
Apr 06, 2025 · Erik ReddWe have two of our own and one foster. We love the staff over at Buffalo Animal Hospital! My male dog was hospitalized for a week due to a reaction to his anti-inflammatory. His kidneys crashed in a matter of days and was unable to walk within 5 doses. It was very sudden. Their quick and thorough care for him saved his life. I do not believe he'd be here today if not for them. The doctors and support staff are compassionate, dedicated, accommodating and go above and beyond. I met so many of them during his stay and I experienced nothing, but top-level care and support for both my dog and myself through a very difficult time. I cannot praise them or thank them enough.
Jun 09, 2025 · Tiffani PlanckThe staff was very helpful and friendly. Dr. Caudle took excellent care of my pup. He kept me updated throughout the whole process. He went above and beyond to ensure my pup received the best care. I highly recommend South Buffalo Springs Animal Hospital for your pets needs. Thank you!
Apr 23, 2025 · Nerisha GaoingI will pursue every legal avenue to ensure Dr. Shaun Caudle never treats another animal. His lack of effort and carelessness led to my dog Odin, a 1.5-year-old Great Pyrenees/Chow Chow, being put down last night. Dr. Caudle misdiagnosed him with kennel cough and prescribed a powerful steroid instead of a cough suppressant. The test for kennel cough came back negative, but only after six days instead of the promised 3-4. During that time, Odin was unnecessarily on the steroid, despite showing side effects that Dr. Caudle dismissed as normal. When the test came back negative, my pregnant wife called three times but received no response until two days later. When they finally called back, we were admonished for even considering taking him off the steroid due to the risk of withdrawal. The side effects worsened, and another doctor reduced the dosage, but we still couldn’t reach Dr. Caudle. That day, Odin had multiple seizures. He was rushed to South Buffalo Animal Hospital, but despite their efforts, he didn’t recover.Odin was a healthy, happy dog, and his unnecessary death has devastated us. My wife, who is five months pregnant and high risk, lost her constant companion, and I had to manage her grief while protecting her and our unborn child from further stress. Dr. Caudle’s reckless prescribing, lack of communication, and disregard for clear warning signs killed my dog, and I will make sure he’s held accountable.I swear on everything I hold sacred, I will spend the rest of my life ensuring this man never practices as a veterinarian again. This isn’t about money—it’s about principle. His carelessness cost my family dearly, and I refuse to let him harm anyone else the way he hurt us.
