At Cupertino Animal Hospital, we offer a comprehensive range of veterinary services designed to ensure the health, comfort, and longevity of your beloved pets. Our approach is thorough, compassionate, and tailored to the individual needs of each animal.
Comprehensive Wellness Exams: Regular check-ups are the cornerstone of preventative care. Our examinations are thorough, covering everything from nose to tail, helping to detect potential issues early on and maintain overall health. Even if you haven't been able to visit for a while, our team provides non-judgmental, friendly service during these essential visits.
Vaccinations: We provide all necessary vaccinations tailored to your pet's age, lifestyle, and exposure risk, protecting them from common and serious diseases and ensuring they stay up-to-date with their preventative health.
Diagnostic Services: While not explicitly detailed in reviews, a comprehensive veterinary clinic like ours would typically offer in-house laboratory testing (blood work, urinalysis, fecal tests), digital radiography (X-rays), and other diagnostic tools to accurately identify underlying health conditions.
Parasite Prevention and Control: We offer effective solutions for the prevention and treatment of both internal and external parasites, including fleas, ticks, heartworms, and intestinal worms, safeguarding your pet's health and your home environment.
Nutritional Counseling: Our team can provide guidance on appropriate diets and feeding plans to support your pet's specific health needs, weight management, and overall vitality.
Dental Health Assessments and Care: Though one client forgot to ask about teeth, comprehensive dental services, including exams, cleanings, and extractions, are crucial for preventing oral diseases that can impact overall health. We encourage follow-up communication for such questions.
Behavioral Counseling: For common behavioral challenges, we can offer advice and resources to help manage issues, promoting a harmonious relationship between you and your pet.
Senior Pet Care: As pets age, their needs change. We provide tailored care plans for senior pets, focusing on managing age-related conditions, maintaining comfort, and supporting their quality of life.
Cupertino Animal Hospital distinguishes itself through several key features and highlights that consistently resonate with our clients and underscore our commitment to exceptional pet care.
Dr. Kureshi's Expertise and Personality: Dr. Kureshi is repeatedly praised for being exceptionally knowledgeable, nice, and thorough. His ability to make things comforting for both pets and their owners is a significant highlight. Clients also enjoy his personal interests, like photography, the study of animals, and his love for Africa, Yosemite National Park, and hummingbirds, which adds a unique, relatable, and engaging dimension to his professional interactions.
Friendly and Comforting Clinic Environment: The clinic is described as running a "friendly veterinary clinic." The staff and vet are consistently noted for being very friendly, creating a welcoming and reassuring atmosphere, even for clients who might feel "embarrassed" about delayed visits. This positive environment is crucial for both pets and their owners, reducing stress during appointments.
Patience and Gentle Handling of Pets: Even with challenging pets, such as one cat described as "really hard to handle," the team manages to get most of the exam done without significant issues, demonstrating their patience and skilled handling techniques. This reassures owners that their pets are in capable and gentle hands.
Thorough Examinations and Clear Communication: Clients consistently highlight the thoroughness of the examinations. Beyond medical procedures, the staff engage in pleasant conversations about the cats and even their own pet lives, making the experience more personal and less clinical. The clinic appears "open to communication after the exam," indicating a commitment to ongoing support and answering follow-up questions.
Prompt Service: Despite the challenges faced by many businesses (including vet clinics) due to external factors like COVID-19, Cupertino Animal Hospital successfully maintains prompt service. Clients report being seen "within a few minutes" of their appointment time and finding it relatively easy to schedule appointments, often within about a week out.
Convenient Location for Locals: The most frequently cited highlight is the clinic's location. Being "literally walking distance" for some and centrally located in Cupertino provides immense convenience, fostering a strong sense of community integration and making it an ideal "regular vet" for local pet parents.

Cupertino Animal Hospital Reviews
I like Dr. Kureshi. He's so knowledgeable and nice. He likes Africa and Yosemite National Park and hummingbirds. He likes photography and the study of animals. I have had some cats being seen by him and he makes things comforting and thorough. It's a friendly veterinary clinic he's running.
May 07, 2025 · Let's Study English!Update 12.14.23. still five star service. I arrived pretty much on time for my appointment and was seen within a few minutes. I was a little bit embarrassed because I hadn't been able to take them in for a while, but the vet and the staff were very friendly and just gave them their regular shots and checkups. Had a nice chat about my cats and the vets own pet lives too, and it was quite nice. One of my cats is really hard to handle, but they got most of the exam done without any issues, and I was satisfied to hear my cats were still in good health 🙂. I forgot to ask them a question about my cat's teeth before leaving, but I will probably send them an email, as they seemed open to communication after the exam. Definitely will be coming back again, and still biased because I still live right down the street. This reviews a bit biased just because of how close I live. Literally walking distance to this vet, and my cats are indoor/outdoor and take walks with me.Because of covid, a lot of businesses have been struggling so I guess I was lucky to get an appointment to here. Was able to schedule an appointment about a week out, and was seen promptly when I arrived.Doctor saw my cat for a regular checkup, and hopefully these guys will be my regular vet from now on!(Pic is of my cat that was seen, not the business)
Dec 15, 2023 · andrew hsuFantastic *small* veterinarian! We chose this vet because they offered laparoscopic spaying for our Bella girl (dog). The doctor is extremely experienced, and carries an amenable "laid back" attitude. That means that he doesn't push certain care just for the bottom line.Keep in mind this place is small (which I prefer). That means that it can get very busy. If you are impatient or can't be flexible with your schedule to a reasonable degree, I would recommend you find somewhere else to go. Just this week, I was there and a customer had something else to do at the same time (drop child off somewhere). Within 5 minutes of waiting, she left and missed her call for care. She returned shortly, and it became an unnecessary scene (because of the customer). The staff responded very professionally. This is exactly the type of situation you should avoid when scheduling ANYTHING, let alone with a small vet.The staff is seasoned, extremely nice, and most importantly, fantastic with your pets. This includes engagement, inoculations (painless), communication between staff, and especially cookies for Bella. And obviously the procedures. Bella's spaying was as good as it could have been.Enjoy this vet for what it is, a wonderful "small town" vet that can do or arrange whatever care your pet needs. To the staff, Bella says hello!
Sep 07, 2023 · AT DDr K was great for my first visit he was skilled and sweet with my injured little silkie hen. The staff seemed kind and caring. That brought me back when my rescue dog needed to be neutered - but what they charged for my dogs cryptorchid neuter was a big shock; the extra charge for removing retained testicle was almost double the neuter charge and was added to the regular neuter charge which was on the high side to start with. Yikes, that hurt me , not my pup.So my first visit earned 5 stars but my second only gets 2 stars - so I averaged it out. Not sure if I'd take a pet there again.
