Hershey Veterinary Hospital Reviews
Dr Schengrund DVM and his team are exceptional. Our dogs have been cared for by the doctor and his team for many years. Appointments are on time and never rushed. His team is always pleasant. The doctor took wonderful care of our boxer right to the end seeing her weekly. Currently he and his team are caring for our two Boston Terriers. Wouldn’t have it any other way! I’m grateful I found him years ago.
May 15, 2025 · Robert TroutmanDr. Kevin and his entire healthcare team are one of the best in Central Pennsylvania, providing exceptional care for our family pet Snuggles who had been under the care of Hershey Veterinary Hospital the last 8 years.
Apr 27, 2025 · Gene VenoMy dog, Desmond, is a sensitive senior. He was pawing the side of his mouth everytime he drank or ate. Despite my examining him, I just couldn't see anything wrong. I was worried he had a bad tooth, so off we went to visit Dr. Kevin at Hershey Veterinary Hospital. We take all 3 of our dogs to HVH, and I'm always grateful for their caring approach, concise diagnosis, positive attitudes, and clear protocol for caring for our dog's needs. Since moving to Hershey 3 years ago, I've come to depend on them for the care of our 3 senior dogs and I have never felt so confident and secure at any Vet practice. Dr. Kevin is no-nonsense, I like that. He is direct and comes up with solutions. He's also very caring and reassuring, I also like that. 🙂 The entire staff exude care and professionalism. If you want to be sure your pets are getting the best care in the area, take them to HVH and see Dr. Kevin. They are simply the best team!
Jul 03, 2025 · Joan BorreliI have been taking my cat here since January, 2025 and Dr. Kevin appears judgemental because I adopted a formally feral cat with his ear clipped. Dr. Kevin seems to rush through appointments, and he never even checked my cat's temperature when cat was in for an upper respiratory infection in June, 2025. A vet tech told me he "didn't feel it was necessary".Also, I told them due to my cat's severe mouth issues to give me all liquid oral medicines but instead I get pills, which are very difficult for the poor cat.Maybe Dr. Kevin is biased towards purebred dogs and cats, but I feel he is uninterested in mine. The good thing about this place, however, is the vet techs do follow-up to see how your pet is doing. Also, I see another review from a cat parent who stated Dr. Kevin had problems writing down in the notes what was discussed at the visits. This happened to me as well- we discussed allergies twice and it is very important to document that for insurance purposes.
