We couldn't trust them to care for our pet. THANKFULLY we left and there are vets who care and it's truly life changing to not have to deal with an incompetent, $$$ obsessed, disrespectful vet team for our beloved pet, especially when there's illness and treatment involved so don't settle for Dr Carpio's BS.They don't care about animal well-being, don't listen to you when you flag symptoms and concerns and just want to hand you a $$$ estimate or try to keep care in house (even when your pet would be better off with another course of treatment they don't offer but could recommend and orient you towards). They put our pets health at risk and pressured us to continue treatments that were deteriorating our pets quality of life (when there are other options available). Ridiculous, every visit was a battle to be heard, advocate for our pet... Best decision we made was to LEAVE and move on to another vet, despite it not being the best timing to change because we were in the middle of treatment for our pet etc but it's the best decision we made for our pet and our sanity. So happy with our new vet, that has shown us that there are places that do care about your pet.

Dr Carpio should be ashamed of how he treats people, animals and his own staff (they all keep leaving for a reason clearly).What happened to us: Our pet was diagnosed with an issue and Dr Carpio not only did not present options to us, when we asked questions after doing our own research, he refused to discuss treatment options and only wanted to consider the course of action that would mean lifetime medication and repeat blood work ($$$ for his clinic). He also was pushing for us to move forward with dental treatment asap which would have put our pet through a risky anesthesia, and only stopped when we did our research and shared concerns that not waiting to treat their condition first before doing a dental cleaning seemed risky.The treatment was aweful for our pet (side effects that Dr Carpio downplayed and suggested to do Xrays etc for ... $$$$) and worse of all this treatment was not working and Dr. Carpio put our pet's health at risk by downplaying test results. Thankfully we saw another vet who immediately explained everything to us and told us these results were still concerning despite the medication, what options we had and clarified the timeline/urgency for us to decide. One visit elsewhere and we now have a plan for all the treatment needed, after months, money wasted and so much unnecessary stress for our pet.OUR ONLY REGRET IS COMING HERE IN THE FIRST PLACE AND STICKING AROUND DESPITE THE RED FLAGS: if your pet is a patient, RUN and if you're looking for a vet, DON'T EVEN COME HERE.

If you read this and have recommendations for a good vet pls comment as we would love to get our pet better care.1) EGO alert and lack of empathy: Dr Carpio has so much ego, he doesn't explain anything and talks down to you if you try to ask questions about your pet's care and condition saying things like "you don't need to understand this" or blaming you for the clinic's utmost lack of organization and miscommunications. He doesn't show any empathy or concern for the pets well being and quality of life when medication causes extensive side effects he doesn't wish to discuss options and will continue to say it's not a problem (our pet was not eating, lethargic, not going to the bathroom, etc) and yet he did not feel like it was necessary to discuss options with us. Throughout, we have reverted to doing our own research and having to push constantly with Dr. carpio and his team to get the appropriate care for our pet.2) the level of disorganization of this clinic is wild: they will "forget" to sign rabies certificates, or to approve urgent medication orders. And I've needed to call sometimes multiple times a day to get the prescriptions approved (and ofc they try to have you buy medication from them at crazy prices). They also tend to call you a couple hours before an appointment to change the time because they are late or sometimes you just end up waiting with a stressed out pet in the waiting room.3) prices are always different (for the same care with only a few months and even sometimes just a couple weeks difference).If you're planning to take your pet to Dr Carpio, you will likely need to follow up constantly and decipher through the chaos and miscommunication, be willing to be spoken down to by him and some of his staff (not all of the staff, some were great however those members of the team seem to all be leaving very fast) and if any issues arise with your pet's health be ready to do your own research and advocate intensively for your pet as Dr Carpio seems to consider side effects and quality of life as an after thought in his medical approach.

Took him to another 2 vets for second opinion - they scoffed at the recommendation.These guys are heartless - will do anything to make money at the expense of causing pain to your pet.My disgust at their lack of ethics and morals is immense. PLEASE spare your dog the pain and avoid these money-hungry scammers
