## Location and Accessibility
South Mesquite Veterinary Hospital is conveniently located at 615 S Bryan-Belt Line Rd in Mesquite, TX, making it a practical choice for residents in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The facility is designed to be easily accessible and comfortable for all clients. The clinic offers a free parking lot, which eliminates the stress of finding a spot, and both the parking lot and the entrance are wheelchair accessible. This thoughtful consideration for physical accessibility ensures that every client, regardless of mobility, can easily bring their pet in for care. The presence of a clean and well-maintained restroom also adds to the comfort and convenience of your visit.
The hospital operates primarily by appointment to ensure that ample time is dedicated to each patient. However, they are also prepared to handle emergency cases, which may occasionally cause appointment delays. This is a common practice in veterinary hospitals and a sign that they prioritize the most critical cases. For routine care, it is always recommended to call ahead and schedule a time to ensure a smooth and timely visit. They also offer a "drop-off" service for established clients, which provides additional flexibility for pet owners with busy schedules.

## What is Worth Choosing
Choosing a veterinary hospital is a significant decision, and South Mesquite Veterinary Hospital offers many compelling reasons to be your choice for pet care in Texas. The glowing review about their success with a "precious mad cat" speaks volumes about their patience and expertise. This is the kind of personal care that builds trust and sets them apart. Their commitment to providing a wide range of services—from preventive care and surgery to boarding and specialized diagnostics—means they can be a consistent and reliable partner for your pet's entire life. This continuity of care is incredibly valuable for both the animal and the owner.
However, it is important for potential clients to consider all available information, including the review that described an "extremely rude, cold and uncaring" experience with a receptionist during a time of need. While this may be an isolated incident, it highlights the importance of customer service. When calling or visiting, it's wise to be prepared and clearly state your needs, especially regarding an urgent situation. Despite this, the extensive list of services and the positive feedback on the veterinary care itself suggests that the hospital has the medical expertise and compassionate approach that many pet owners are looking for. For a pet owner who values comprehensive, one-stop-shop medical services and a team willing to go the extra mile for a difficult-to-handle pet, South Mesquite Veterinary Hospital is a solid and reputable choice for veterinary care in the Mesquite area.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I highly recommend this veterinary hospital! I was turned down at 2 vets before because my precious mad cat wouldn’t let anyone get near him and give him his shots!! They said bring him in and we can try and it was a SUCCESS!! Will definitely be coming back. They truly cared for my Felix the cat.
March 26 · Patita CardonaI called a few days ago and the receptionist was extremely rude, cold and uncaring! I was trying to explain what was going on with my pet and was not sure if they take in emergency walk-ins. while explaining what was happening she rudely cut me off saying "AND HOW CAN I HELP YOU?" again I try to explain what's going on and she cuts me off again saying her earliest appointment was "xxxx" day and time. when I asked if they could just please see us she said no they are about to close and already have appointments booked (I called 1 1/2 hours before closing time). Eventually she just told me to go to a emergency room. extremely heartless people during your time in need. I was able to find another non-emergency vet to help us and all my pet needed was a a shot to help them feel better. I was out in 20 minutes!
July 16 · john gravesDO NOT BOTHER CALLING!!!! CALLED EARLY IN THE MORNING TO SEE IF I CAN GET SOME INFORMATION ON GETTING JUST A PRESCRIPTION, IT'S NOT PAYING THEM EXTRA MONEY TO GET THE SAME MEDS. THIS WOMAN GOT HOSTILE ON THE PHONE WHEN ALL I ASKED WAS HOW MUCH IT WOULD BE FOR A VISIT AND A PRESCRIPTION. ALL SHE KEPT REPEATING, WAS THEY HAVE THE MEDICATION IN-HOUSE. AND THAT THEY CAN SELL IT TO ME, NOT EVEN T,RYING TO ANSWER MY QUESTION IF I COULD JUST GET THE PRESCRIPTION, TERRIBLE PEOPLE, TERRIBLE BUSINESS, DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!! we've moved recently to the area, just trying to find someone that can give me prescriptions for ferals that I feed but was not helpful at all. I recommend calling elsewhere for getting prescriptions! whoever the woman on the phone was in the morning, needs a lot of training in customer service!!!! i've never felt the urge to leave .a Terrible review, but today because she was so awful to me, it's over the phone I can't imagine how she would be in person! i even tried to wait a few days and i'm still upset about the whole conversation!! do not come here if you're just trying to get prescriptions, because they're just trying to make extra money off it's people who are just trying to help stray animals. i recommend the place down the street passing 80. they actually offered me a discount. If I got the meds from them instead of online, which came in handy.I RECOMMEND RETRAINING, WHOEVER ANSWERS THE PHONES
August 16 · kenneth WakefieldShady way to conduct business, i called to get information about getting some stitches removed on my pup, after being told they can do it and it was $15, i sent my relative to do it. Come to find out they told her she had to get all this extra stuff and was charged over $100 more than what I was told. Was never called about this by the Vet nor did they gave her an opinion they just did all the extra stuff and billed my card. Called to ask to ask for info, not only was she rude and careless, they did not offer any solutions. Just another vet that is in it for the money at whatever cost..
June 26 · Jose RicoThis will be our new vet!!!! I went in on Friday morning to drop off our baby for her spay. The two ladies who greeted us were so sweet! They eased our anxiety about the procedure! The next day, we had the same experience! Fantastic ladies!!! Also, I LOVE the lobby they have. Our babies are nervous about the vet, and the entrance is so easy to navigate! Last, but not least, the prices are HALF of what I was quoted elsewhere. I just love these guys and are so thankful for them!!!
