Tarheel Veterinary Surgical Specialists Introduce
For pet owners in North Carolina, when your beloved companion faces a complex medical issue requiring specialized surgical intervention, finding the right experts is paramount. Tarheel Veterinary Surgical Specialists (TVSS) stands as a beacon of advanced veterinary surgical care in our region. This dedicated team brings a wealth of expertise and experience in intricate procedures, offering peace of mind to families whose pets need more than routine veterinary attention. TVSS is not just a surgical center; it's a group of highly skilled professionals committed to restoring your pet's health and mobility with the utmost precision and compassion.
What sets Tarheel Veterinary Surgical Specialists apart is their focus on specialized surgical procedures, often partnering with your primary veterinarian to deliver seamless, high-quality care. This collaborative approach means your pet can receive advanced surgical treatment, frequently within the familiar environment of your local vet's office, if they partner with TVSS. This minimizes travel stress for your pet and maintains continuity with their regular care provider. For North Carolina pet parents grappling with diagnoses that require advanced surgical solutions, TVSS provides not just surgical excellence, but also invaluable support and clear communication every step of the way.
Tarheel Veterinary Surgical Specialists has its administrative and operational hub at 8005 Sycamore Hill Ln, Raleigh, NC 27612, USA. While this is their listed address, a significant aspect of their service model is their mobile surgical practice. This means that, unlike a traditional referral hospital where you always travel to them, TVSS surgeons, such as Dr. Tudor and Dr. Loftin, often travel to partner veterinary clinics across North Carolina. This unique approach greatly enhances accessibility for pet owners.
For North Carolina locals, this "in-house" specialty care model is incredibly beneficial. It means your pet can receive advanced orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries without having to be transported to an unfamiliar, large referral center. Instead, the specialized surgery often happens in the comfort and convenience of your regular veterinarian's office, where your pet may already feel more at ease. This flexible and accessible service truly minimizes stress for both pets and their owners during what can be a very anxious time, demonstrating TVSS's commitment to patient and client comfort throughout the region.

- Comprehensive Post-Operative Care Instructions: Providing detailed, personalized instructions for at-home care after surgery, covering medication administration, activity restrictions, and rehabilitation guidelines to support optimal healing.
- Collaboration with Referring Veterinarians: Working closely with your primary care veterinarian to ensure seamless continuity of care, including sharing medical records, discussing surgical plans, and outlining post-operative follow-up.

Tarheel Veterinary Surgical Specialists Reviews
Dr. Tudor did TPLO surgery and meniscus repair on our Brewster. TVSS helped us find a vets office that could get us in sooner than they’d be able to go to his regular vet which was super helpful. She called after the surgery to let us know how everything went and was very friendly. We appreciate everything they did to help our baby ❤️
Nov 20, 2023 · Kelly PetersonSaw Dr. Loftin in the office of a veterinarian in Fayetteville, NC, he comes to her office 1-2 times per month. I can honestly say that in my over 30+ years of owning numerous dogs, and fostering dogs for years, this was the most genuinely nice and honest veterinarian I’ve ever met! He immediately sat down on the floor with our foster dog and went through everything the rescue had questions about during our consultation with him. He was very honest, not pushy at all, very kind and most importantly: a dog loving person! If any of my own 3 dogs needs surgery in the future; I’ll make sure to book it with Dr. Loftin! He was A+++ in my book. Very knowledgeable and kind.
Apr 14, 2022 · Sue XoXoUnfortunately my 2 year old bulldog has had both knees replaced and I couldn’t be more lucky then to have TVSS do both surgeries! They are responsive, they do phenomenal work and my bully has recovered from both in record time with no complications. This firm is top notch and we can’t thank you enough!
May 30, 2022 · Julie BrewerDr. Lofton did an outstanding job with my baby Max. He was caring and compassionate. The actual surgery was also great. Def recommend
May 02, 2024 · Lizz RobertsDr. Tudor is truly one of the most talented, caring veterinary surgeons I have worked with in the triangle area. It is apparent that she cares deeply for each dog she treats. Although I haven’t met her entire staff, I am confident that she sets the tone for the practice.
