Animal hospital, Veterinarian ★4.0

I booked a wellness exam with this clinic for my puppy this week; however, a relief veterinarian performed the so-called “comprehensive” exam without even using a stethoscope. Throughout the visit, she repeatedly criticized the breeder for allowing me to take my puppy home at 7 weeks old. My breeder gave me the option to bring the puppy home early or wait until 8 weeks — it was ultimately my decision to take her home before 8 weeks old. After my visit, I reviewed the Temple City Animal Hospital website again because I was left wondering why no actual health assessment was performed during the appointment. As a first-time dog owner, I wanted to understand what a puppy wellness exam should include. According to their website, the exam is supposed to cover checks on the coat and skin, face and head, and internal health (such as heart rate and blood pressure). This vet did NONE of those. In addition to her negative attitude toward my breeder, she spent most of the visit pressuring me to purchase unlimited-claim pet insurance. At the end, she ordered a $153.5 fecal test without explaining what was included in the lab work.I just called the office to express my concerns and am still waiting for the clinic manager to call me back. Very disappointed with my first visit. Hope the manager can call me back to discuss my concern. Thanks for reading.Updated on 2025-08-06Thank you for leaving a response on Review page. HOWEVER, my review is still negative as zero start. Here are the updates since I left my original review, in case your front desk staff has not shared with you (office manager or any of the doctors in this clinic).I called the office back on Saturday (8/2/2025) because no one had contacted me with my puppy lab results, even though I was told someone would call within 24–48 hours. During the same call, I also asked if the manager had received my concern and would be calling me back. I was informed that the manager was not working on Saturday, but that my concern had been passed along. It is now Wednesday (2025-08-06), and I still have not received any calls from the office. If you'd like to discuss, please call me directly. When I contacted the office twice, the front desk informed me that neither the office manager nor any of the doctors were available to speak with me.Thank you. - Emily
