Uptown Veterinary Hospital Reviews

Jun 02, 2025 · Destiny ClarkThe Uptown Veterinary Hospital’s team are truly some of the best around. Dr. Jen is always incredibly thorough and compassionate when caring for our two dogs.We also really appreciate how they follow up after every visit as it truly shows how much they care. I highly recommend them to any pet owner looking for top-quality, attentive care!
Jun 03, 2025 · Jenny GThis has been an incredibly frustrating situation. We adopted a cat from the Humane Society of Charlotte, who a few days prior, had three teeth extracted by Dr. Jen Larson. We followed the recommended recovery procedures only feeling her soft food and ensure she was always wearing her cone. The day after we adopted her we noticed one side of her face started swelling. The next day it looked even worse and since this practice is closed on Sundays, we took her to another Vet hospital. The vet examined her under sedation and advise we contact the previous Vet since it appeared that there still may be a leftover root/abscess and prescribed her antibiotics. We reached out to Dr. Jen Larson who was very insistent that there was no possible root/abscess left behind from the extraction and that the swelling was normal because cat’s mouth's are just “finicky”. The next day our cat developed an open wound sore on the outside of her cheek. We called the vet panicking and once again was told that there was nothing to worry about and that if we were really concerned that they could schedule us two days later. Fed up, we took her to the other vet who immediately saw her condition and was alarmed. They ended up cleaning out an abscess and removing a syringe full of puss. I could maybe understand reassuring us at the first call (even though it had been almost a week since the procedure) but for them to insist everything was still fine after we told them she had a bleeding open wound on the outside of her cheek and not offer to see us same day is ridiculous. We ended up spending over $400 for something that should’ve been done correctly the first time.
Dec 05, 2024 · Caitlyn NearhoodWe love Uptown Veterinary. They are the most compassionate group of individuals who take time with not only your pets but you too. They are wonderful to work with and my pups just love them.
Feb 27, 2025 · Patty EakThe entire team at Uptown is phenomenal! My cats are handling exams so much better there than anywhere in the past. They are excellent with cats. Very kind and calm staff and they spend as much time with me as I need. I never feel rushed and all my questions get answered. Highly recommend!Edit: A year later and I’m still so thrilled with the team at Uptown! Dr. Jen is seriously the best, and so are the techs and staff. You won’t regret taking your fur babies here!
