VCA Delmarva Animal Hospital Reviews
I have been going here for over 8 years. They are now frequently understaffed. My wait times have averaged 40 minutes until you get seen recently. They almost killed my dog while fixing him 9 years ago. He needed an emergency scrotal ablation. He has battled skin issues for years. They always gave him his Lyme shot while having a skin infection. Now they refuse and need to extort people with more visit fees. Meanwhile, he is unvacinated and at risk. I am disappointed that their vets don't truly care about an animals well-being. That is what is most important to me. If you have no choice but VCA... I would demand Dr. Seacord. I am very disappointed.Au. Yeung should not be a vetnarian.
Jun 25, 2025 · Hungry GuyDr. Seacord and her VT Briana did a great job handling our husky, who was definitely not on his best behavior that day. We also received a detailed explanation and long-term plan for his respiratory diagnosis, which previous vets had been unable, or unwilling, to provide. We were very pleased with the care we received!
Mar 29, 2025 · Matt WillisI've am very happy with VCA Delmarva. They are very thorough in their care for my senior dog. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. With the app, making appointments, reordering meds and asking questions are very easy.
Feb 11, 2025 · J GOn 3/13/25 , I called this animal hospital to reschedule my appointment that was made for 3/27/25 to a later date/time. The first time I called- someone picked up the phone and hung up before I could even say Hello- mind you I never been to this facility before and would be considered a first time client with my two cats ). I called again and a woman with a rude attitude answered the phone around 12:54pm- 12:57 pm and i advise the representative that I needed to reschedule my appts for my cats. She told me that I couldn’t bring my cats in for two different time slots for the same day and I would have to book my cats on different days. I said when I scheduled the appt initially, I was not told that and that it was no problem to bring them on the same day, then the next thing I was told that my cat Nipsey who has high anxiety would only get his nails cut ( which I did not mind paying for) if he felt like it . I said to the rep( no cats feel or have a dying desire to get nails cut but I need them cut because he keep scratching his face) , she said we will only did it if he feels like it. I said so what do you do to stray cats when they being service- do all the stray cats feel like getting needles, nails cut, and exams - No I don’t think so but your trying to save a animals life right. I was done making my point so I cancelled both appointments because if the representatives talk to you badly over the phone , I can only imagine how they would treat my cats in person. I’m disappointed on the treatment I received and this made me not want to be a ongoing client of this animal hospital. Save your money and save your animals for better health care treatment.
Mar 13, 2025 · India IndiI love VCA! I’ve seen multiple vets at VCA for my cats and have had an exceptional experience with all of them. I want to give a special shoutout to Dr Seacord though as she has been the one working closely with my diabetic cat. Caring for a cat with a chronic illness can definitely be overwhelming and feel discouraging some days but whenever Dr Seacord messages me about Boo she always adds in how I’m doing a great job with him. I’ve even teared up once or twice just from pure gratitude. I don’t think she realizes how much her kind words have affected me. Sometimes on those hard days I’ll even go back and read the words of encouragement she’s said. I really hope this review gets back to her somehow. Thank you Dr Seacord and all of the amazing staff at VCA!!!
