This article will provide a detailed and factual overview of what makes this veterinary service a prominent choice for local residents, exploring their history, services, and commitment to animal wellness.
Verona Veterinary Medical Service, S.C. has a long-standing history in the community, with a legacy that dates back to 1957. Starting with a focus on farm animals, the practice has grown and evolved to meet the diverse needs of today's pet owners. This rich background gives them a unique understanding of the agricultural community's needs, while their modern advancements cater to the growing number of households with companion pets. They are equipped to handle a variety of animals, from traditional cats and dogs to large farm livestock and even exotic species. This versatility makes them a one-stop-shop for many different animal healthcare needs in the Verona area, ensuring that a broad range of animals can receive high-quality medical attention from a trusted local provider. Their commitment to providing professional care to all their patients, big or small, is a testament to their dedication to the community.
The clinic offers a broad spectrum of medical and surgical services, demonstrating their capability as a full-service animal hospital. Their diagnostic capabilities are robust, utilizing digital radiographs, blood work, urine analysis, and fecal testing to quickly and accurately diagnose health issues. This in-house testing capability allows for rapid results, which can be critical in time-sensitive situations. For surgical procedures, they are well-equipped with modern technology, including a surgical laser to minimize pain and bleeding, and they use gas anesthesia for safety. Their dental services are equally comprehensive, from scaling and polishing to extractions and oral surgery. The availability of prescription foods and a system for prescription refills adds another layer of convenience for clients. This wide array of services ensures that pets and their owners have access to everything they need for routine and advanced care in a single location.
Verona Veterinary Medical Service, S.C. is also known for its focus on preventative medicine, which is a cornerstone of responsible pet ownership. They offer services like annual wellness exams, heartworm screening, and vaccinations to help prevent illnesses before they start. The team understands the importance of educating pet owners on topics like intestinal parasites and tick-borne diseases, empowering clients to take proactive steps to protect their animals. This focus on long-term health is a key feature of their practice and is highly valued by clients who are committed to their pets’ well-being. For owners of farm livestock, they offer specialized farm veterinary care, ensuring that animals crucial to the local economy and lifestyle receive the best possible medical attention.
Accessibility and convenience are also important aspects of the client experience at Verona Veterinary Medical Service, S.C. The facility is located at 655 Half Mile Rd in Verona, making it a convenient destination for residents in the community and surrounding areas. The clinic offers on-site parking, a major plus for busy pet owners. Furthermore, the building is designed with accessibility in mind, providing a wheelchair-accessible entrance, parking lot, and restroom. They also have a gender-neutral restroom, highlighting their commitment to an inclusive environment for all. The availability of drop-off appointments is another feature that adds a layer of convenience for clients with busy schedules, allowing them to leave their pet for care and pick them up later in the day. This attention to detail in the client experience demonstrates their dedication to serving the community effectively and compassionately.
When it comes to choosing a veterinary service, customer experience and trust are paramount. While the clinic has received a glowing review for its staff's caring nature and an easy-to-use app for prescriptions, it is also important to consider all feedback. A critical review brings to light issues with communication and administrative processes, specifically concerning a new vet and a former payment plan agreement. The client's experience of being without a vet on duty for an emergency and facing what they perceived as false statements in their medical records is a serious concern. While the practice has a long history and many positive aspects, it is clear that like any business, they may face challenges. This highlights the importance of open communication with the clinic about your specific needs and expectations. The fact that the clinic serves a wide range of animals and has a long-standing presence in the community suggests that they are a trusted partner for many residents, but individual experiences may vary, making it important to establish a strong, direct relationship with the team from the beginning.
For Wisconsin residents, the choice of a veterinary service is a critical one. Verona Veterinary Medical Service, S.C. offers an impressive array of services, from routine care and preventative medicine to advanced diagnostics and surgery. Their ability to cater to a diverse range of animals, from companion pets to farm livestock and exotics, makes them a valuable and versatile resource in the community. Their history and long-standing presence in Verona demonstrate a deep-rooted commitment to local animal health. The availability of modern amenities, such as a surgical laser and an app for prescription refills, shows a dedication to staying current with technology. While potential clients should be aware of the importance of clear communication, the clinic’s comprehensive services, coupled with its historical significance and modern capabilities, make it a strong option for those seeking a one-stop-shop for their animal healthcare needs in the Verona area.

July 05 · Camille MyersI GAVE ONE STAR BECAUSE YOU CANT GIVE ZERO !!!! My experience here was alright to say the least. The new vet i was appointed to was amazing so no hate towards her. My 11 month kitten was spayed a week ago and is showing negative signs. I stopped in to see if anyone can look at her after sending in photos and there was NO VET ON DUTY. I was told that there wouldn’t be another vet on duty for at least an hour and her incision would be fine. I then sent the same photos to UW emergency vet and they told me to bring her in immediately. I requested my cats medical records via email and the vet tech i spoke with earlier today wrote a false statement about me, putting me in a bad lighting !! she claimed that i swore at the establishment on my way out when i did no such thing !! i am christian and choose to abstain from vulgar words so i took this as terribly offensive. While going over these medical records, i realized that there was a previous negative statement about me again. I called this establishment multiple times in order to get my kitten spayed and got no answer so considering when i talked to them before they said there was a waitlist because of their understaffing so i thought maybe they just shut down! When i spoke to another institution , they said that they would try to contact this vet to get her medical records. A worker at Verona Veterinary Medical Service S.C later emailed me in a rude manner and apologized for it later. I found out today after reading her medical records that the worker at this clinic told the Waunakee clinic that i “don’t pay my bills” and i believe that’s why i was no longer hearing back fromthem !!! Let me give a little recap. I have been coming to this vet for almost three years, with my previous cat AND with this one. My original vet and vet tech told me that a payment plan was fine since i did not live in town. Our agreement was that each time i came in, i would pay the previous due balance because i was a long term client! I later found out after they were no longer at the establishment, that this plan was not authorized but i was told that it was??? After that, i payed in full with each visit! The two times i have had issues with this establishment, they made sure i got the brunt end of it and i do not respect lies!!
April 23 · taehani beyVerona Veterinary Clinic has be our go to clinic for over 30 years. Throughout time and personnel changes one thing remains the same: Quality of care, and genuine pet wellness. We have worked with rescue and rehoming groups through the years and they have been the best in their care of the many vets that we have worked with. We strongly recommend the Verona Veterinary Clinic and all the Doctors and associates!
July 13 · David HesterlyWonderfully kind staff willing to make my dogs comfortable while getting procedures done. Easy to schedule with for both routine check ups and emergencies.
January 31 · Kendall MeuwissenI've been taking my cats here for the last 5 years. They are easy to schedule with, and I get email reminders about when my pets are due for wellness exams/vaccines. The vets and vet techs are kind and make what could be a stressful experiences as smooth as possible for my cats. They also have very reasonable prices. My cats are young and healthy, so we haven't had any need for more intensive or emergency services from them, so I can't comment on that part of this vet clinic.I would definitely recommend them to someone who is looking for a vet for their pets.
