Lakeland Veterinary Care offers a comprehensive range of services for small animals. Their team is equipped to handle everything from routine check-ups and preventative care to more complex medical issues. They are dedicated to providing high-quality veterinary medicine that is tailored to each individual pet's needs. This personalized approach is a key part of their philosophy. Instead of a one-size-fits-all model, they take the time to get to know your pet's unique personality and health history, which allows them to create the most effective and gentle treatment plans. The clinic also provides professional pet grooming services, recognizing that a pet’s wellness extends beyond medical treatments to include proper hygiene and comfort.
One of the most notable aspects of Lakeland Veterinary Care, as highlighted by client testimonials, is the deep level of empathy and understanding shown by the staff. The clinic has a remarkable ability to navigate the full spectrum of a pet's life, from the joys of puppyhood and maturity to the somber moments of end-of-life care. This is a testament to the staff’s dedication and sensitivity. They provide not only excellent medical treatment but also invaluable emotional support to the pet owner. The team, including dedicated vets like Dr. Osgood, is praised for being patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. This human-centered approach to animal care is a significant reason why so many Wisconsin residents trust them with their most beloved companions.
Furthermore, the clinic operates on a principle of a collaborative approach to pet healthcare. They understand that veterinary decisions often involve financial considerations, and they are committed to working with pet owners to find the best solutions that balance a pet's needs with the owner's budget. This is a rare and highly appreciated quality. As one client's review illustrates, the veterinarians do not push unnecessary tests or expensive procedures. Instead, they provide clear explanations of options, allowing the pet owner to make an informed decision. This transparency and respect for the client's position build a strong foundation of trust, ensuring that every choice is made with the pet's best interest at heart, without undue financial pressure. This makes them a great partner in long-term pet care.

Clients feel heard and understood, which is crucial when discussing a pet’s health concerns. The clinic's ability to provide a personalized experience, where the vet takes the time to listen intently and discuss all available options, sets them apart from larger, more impersonal practices. This level of personalized care creates a sense of partnership between the vet and the pet owner, leading to better health outcomes and a more positive overall experience. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Always pleasant to us and sweet as can be to our dog. They handled end of life for our aging, much loved first dog, and have done equally well with our sweet little red dog, as she grows and matures.
March 22 · Jeff BachThe staff are super friendly and knowledgeable and are patient with me with all of my questions and concerns! Dr. Osgood is my primary vet (Dr. Thompson was with my late German Shepherd). I LOVE them BOTH! We saw Dr. Osgood this visit, and as always, she listens intently about my concerns with Ace, checks him over head to tail, and discusses the options she believes would be best for him and me. She is not the type of vet that pushes a person to spend a thousand dollars and run every test under the sun. She is a vet who truly wants what is best for your pet but also tries to take into consideration the owners financial concerns. I pretty much gave her an open checkbook yesterday :o, and she was still conservative! Not many people would say to one that basically says, "Here's a blank check, write it for what you want." She said," Why don't we wait until your follow up vist 2 to 4 weeks, do your research (because she knows me and my concerns with medications and vaccines), and when you come back, If you want to proceed, we can at that time..." I did put her in a vulnerable spot by saying: "Do whatever you feel is best" because everything costs money, and again, what she feels (and probably knows better than me), I may not 100% agree on, and if I didn't make the decision for my dog, and she did, and he had a bad reaction, most people would probably blame her. And that's a huge burden for someone! So again, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Dr. Osgood! And I APPRECIATE HER more than words can ever express! She is an awesome, caring, and loving vet!!!
November 12 · S PFantastic service, highly recommend. They were gentle with my Isabella, explained everything to me and made sure I understood her illness and the medication they prescribed.
February 10 · melanie mccarthyMy only experience with this vet this far has been during this pandemic. I have never before had to trust a vet to take my animal for care out of my sight without knowing them first, so you can imagine I was nervous. I still haven't met Dr. Osgood, but I wouldn't want anyone else caring for my cat. They have been so professional and kind, diligent in their work, and honest. I brought in the cat I had just adopted for her nasty, dirty ears, and they told me from the beginning they hadn't seen much like this before, in such a young cat especially, and worked very hard to find the right medication for her. It's been a long, expensive process but they've been very open about what my options were and what each would cost from the very beginning.I have complete confidence in the entire team here. They truly are wonderful.
July 03 · Michelette RichardsonCompletely unprofessional staff and quality of care. They do not seem to have the best interest of the animals at heart. We took our pet there for a routine visit, and during the visit staff were making jokes about a dog that had just been euthanized. They disclosed the information of the situation with that animal to us during our visit, breaching any HIPPA for that owner or the animal. During our visit the staff felt it necessary to hold my animal down inhumanly while doing a nail treatment. Our animal was clearly anxious about what was going on, the staff found it necessary to have our animal right next to a deceased dog laying on the floor, while doing a nail treatment. I left completely traumatized at the level of care that was provided. I would not recommend taking your animal to this animal clinic.
