Upper Saucon Animal Hospital Reviews
I took my cat in for a couple of reasons. One being a little bit of blood in her stool after stressful situations. Without consulting me first, or explicitly telling me the side effects— this vet gave my cat a 20mg steroid shot for a 6lb kitten. (Even after telling me she has a mini heart murmur..)After her being extremely lethargic over a week after, I consulted another vet who said they don’t administer injected steroids until the last resort, and if they do, 20mg is way more then she needed for her size. This shot can cause way more harm then good and there is still no guarantee she will be okay. I urge whoever comes here to ask for EXPLICIT transparency before they give your animals any injections. They push you to sign a paper saying they “went over this with you,” when they don’t.** RESPONSE to ReplyAs much as this vet attempts to justify his actions, I hope those who are readings these reviews, deciding who to go to, sit and think for a minute about how quick he is to defend himself in a pretty nasty way.Yes, I refused to seek follow up care (with you) after learning that you injected my kitten with steroids that aren’t common practice unless it’s an exteme case. LET ALONE, the presence of a small heart murmur which would make injected steroids even LESS appropriate. All in all, this vet will spew lots of words at you really quick and seems to turn to extremes when treating an animal- without transparency.I’d recommend a vet that doesn’t have a decent number of 1 star reviews with nasty replies!
Nov 25, 2024 · Trinity mIf I could give negative stars, I would. The vet and staff at this office are incredibly rude and show no care or compassion for animals. To make matters worse, they are illegally withholding my pet’s medical records, which is a direct violation of Pennsylvania state law. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. Do yourself and your pet a favor—go to a different vet.
Feb 07, 2025 · Lexi VegaDr Zajac and his staff are simply the best! My wife and I are both in our late 70s, we just adopted a 6 year old German Shepherd for security reasons. Dr Ted's practice is really the greatest in the fact that your dog does not meet other animals in the waiting room. Gus unfortunately does not like other dogs and human strangers, he will bark and act very aggressively when approached buy them. We currently are taking him to dog obedience school. Dr Ted recommended some things that could possibly help Gus become a more behaved dog! Dr Ted is also treating him for a GI problem. His prices are reasonable and fair and it's very easy to get an appointment! The office is very clean and neat, and most of all the staff is very kind and considerate when you call for an appointment.Dick and Donna Hill
Oct 10, 2024 · Richard HillExcellent vet! Everyone in the office is wonderful. Love Dr. Zajac. So happy to have found them.
Jan 16, 2025 · Tara McPartlandDON’T GO HERE. Fiancé made an appointment for a second opinion or other options on arthritis for my dog. Spoke with the receptionist, had paperwork sent over along with lab results, and got an appointment. Once she got there they took her back and Ted walked in said “I don’t do second opinions”. And just walked out. Incredibly rude unprofessional waste of time. Let’s start with the fact that we know this isn’t true as we had found him originally by getting a second opinion from our other dog. He had no problem taking that appointment and literally thousands of our dollars for a surgery but for some reason wouldn’t even examine our other dog. For sure just about the money not the caring for animals. Principle of the matter is he had a dog in pain right in front of him and refused to do anything just because we had another vet prior i guess. Honestly we don’t even know the true reason why as I have tried to call for four days to see what went on or why we were treated so unprofessionally after having spent more than the average amount of money there and Ted doesn’t have the set to call back. Luckily I am happy with our other Vet of whom we will now be taking both dogs to.
