Center City Veterinary Hospital Reviews
The Center City Vet team was so kind to me and my pup Dimples on our first visit. Dr. Michael Cohen was great with handling the vaccines Dimples needs and showed him so much love. Im glad they are our local vet!
May 02, 2025 · Christopher CruzMy dog Sasha loves Dr.Meister! I have been seeing him since I adopted Sasha three years ago. When I adopted her she had a skin condition. He did many tests on her skin and pointed me towards the dermatology clinic which helped me get her skin under control. He is always so pleasant and nice to talk to. He cares a lot about his patients! I highly recommend Dr.Meister and Center City Vet.
Feb 11, 2025 · Emma BlackThe staff and the Veterinary staff are extremely friendly and are willing to help at all times. We have exotic pets and their exotic vet is kind and willing to work with people for the treatment the animals need. I would recommend this place to anyone with exotic/non exotic animals! 10/10
Jun 23, 2025 · nora rockeI had brought my cat here regularly for annual visits, including 2 dentals($$$) since I adopted her many years ago. We had received great care here over the years by Dr. Meister and several other vets who came and went. My cat suddenly stopped eating and drinking so I called for them. U asked if I should bring her to VSEC urgent care, they said it’s expensive just to get her in and Dr.Cohen should see her first). I was able to get an “emergency” appointment with Dr. Cohen ($$) This was during Covid, so I wasn’t allowed in the office(I waited in the car), although some of his patients were allowed in. He did bloodwork, then prescribed two meds and recommended an ultrasound (which they don’t do, but VSEC does!). The meds didn’t help and She wasn’t improving so I took her to VSEC for the ultrasound and to be seen. I called while at VSEC, I called both Dr. Cohen and the vet office for advice, but nobody answered. In the end, she was put to sleep. This vet is good for routine care, but for any emergency. I’d bypass them and go to VSEC despite what this place say. Dr. Cohen and staffstill never did call to follow upUPDATE: upon seeing this review, Dr. Cohen called me to yell at me almost THREE months after I put my cat to sleep because of a poor(but honest) review? I have receipts/emails/witness to support my claims. He told me he would’ve put her on steroids if he had known!? I Called his cell and the office while at VSEC and no one answered. How could a vet call a patient because they didn’t like a poor review and make them feel as if they did the wrong thing by stopping their pets suffering?! I had finally stopped crying daily over losing my cat and now I’m grieving all over again thanks to Dr. Cohen’s ego. Dr. cohen yelled at me over the phone as I was literally sobbing. Unprofessional egomaniac Never again will I go here. 😿😭
Jun 13, 2025 · LISAI couldn't NOT recommend this vet enough. Dr. Meister misdiagnosed my cat, prescribing an almost lethal dose of insulin wherein she ended up with a blood sugar of 35 at an emergency center. More than 1 vet indicated the dosage recommended was extraordinarily high. Put her through a bevy of unnecessary tests for the low, low price of $800. This man should be ashamed to call himself a vet. He clearly has no idea what he's doing.
