April 08 · Colin MarkleinMount Zion animal clinic has been my family vet for years (20+). I have never had any issues until now. I brought my dog in to get checked for a sagging eyelid. After checking in I informed the vet tech that I was on a tight budget and only had $100 to spend. He “seemed” understanding, but when he went to get the doctor, Ashley Prochazka refused to see my dog, my sick dog, until a payment plan was settled. They were laughing and chattering in the back while I waited with my dog.To me, she only cares about how she was going to get paid for seeing my dog. I expressed that I am unemployed, but that didn’t seem to matter. I will not be coming back. I only want my pets to be cared for, without the greediness of money.
June 02 · Abigail W.Rating this as a two star. They are nice and all but I’ve had a few bad experiences, my three year old cat had a urinary blockage and i was informed to do the surgery which ended up costing me over a grand, next day had to put him down because he was in too bad of shape. Broke my heart. Wish they could have looked at him better and realized he was too far gone for surgery instead of wanting me to do the surgery, prolly just wanted money. Then my 10 year old dog had some allergy issues, took her in to have her looked at and they put her on all kinds of medicine, they told me to call them immediately if she started coughing. Well she did start coughing and breathing weird so I called, took them ALL DAY to respond to me, with me calling and checkin in 3 TIMES to see if the doctor was available! They finally called back at 4:45 and left a message and I called right back and they didn’t answer and closed at 5. I ended up having to take her to the emergency pet hospital where she ended up passing away. This absolutely crushed my entire soul. I will not be bringing my future animals here.
March 31 · Samantha BlombergThe front office staff, Tech Vickie and Dr. Mark are all fantastic!! Took our 2 Guinea pigs in for an upper respiratory infection. I’m new to the area and it’s VERY difficult finding a Guinea pig doc. They got is in within a few days and the care they showed them was phenomenal. You can really see that this clinic loves their patients, and their customers. I’ll definitely be bringing my cats in next.
March 06 · Erin WI’ve been taking my 5 year old dog here for 4 years and my 3 year old dog for 3 years and was very happy with the place at first. The past couple times I have brought them there it’s always a different vet that I’ve never seen before. The last time I brought them there was for a wellness checkup which then led to them telling me that my dogs teeth are getting really bad and they “need” to get a professional cleaning that costs $1000. Then they proceeded to tell me that my one dog had a VERY concerning heart murmur and that they recommend an echocardiogram that would cost us around $2000 and to bring her to the emergency vet if she’s ever breathing weirdly. Finally I made the decision to switch to a different vet since my one dog was due for a vaccination and they told me the opposite of everything. My dogs teeth are really good and to keep doing whatever I’m doing and that she does not have a heart murmur.
