Veterinary Services of Oregon Introduce
Introduction / Overview
For many in Oregon's agricultural and rural communities, finding a veterinarian who can provide expert care for large animals and livestock is a critical need. Veterinary Services of Oregon, based in St. Paul, is a full-service mobile veterinary practice that specializes in meeting these unique demands. Unlike a traditional clinic, their business model is built around bringing compassionate and competent care directly to the animals who need it most, whether they are on a dairy farm, a horse ranch, or a family's small plot of land. They understand the complexities of large animal health, from preventative herd health management to urgent emergency services.
While their specialty lies in large animals and livestock, including cattle, horses, and small ruminants, they also provide routine care for companion pets like dogs and cats. This versatility makes them a comprehensive resource for a wide range of animal owners. The clinic's philosophy is one of tender care and deep understanding, as one client's review for a sick goat attests. The team, including Dr. Veeman, is consistently praised for their professionalism, competence, and compassion, especially in difficult times. Their dedication to going above and beyond, providing phone consultations and additional instructions for medication, demonstrates a commitment to their clients that extends far beyond a simple appointment. They are not just vets; they are trusted advisors and a lifeline for those who depend on their animals for livelihood or companionship.
The core of their service is the ability to provide a complete range of veterinary care as a mobile practice. This includes diagnostics, surgery, and emergency services right on the farm, which is a significant advantage for both the animals and their owners. By offering this on-site care, they eliminate the stress and logistical challenges of transporting large or sick animals. This seamless integration of services, from preventative care and vaccinations to complex procedures like C-sections and laceration repairs, positions Veterinary Services of Oregon as a vital and dependable partner for the agricultural community.
Location and Accessibility
Veterinary Services of Oregon is based at 3884 Mission Rd NE, St Paul, OR 97137, USA. While the clinic does have a physical location, its primary service model is a Mobile Practice. This means they are a "Mobile Vet" who comes to you, offering on-farm and limited in-clinic veterinary services. This unique approach to veterinary care makes them incredibly accessible, as they serve clients over a large geographic area in Oregon and even into Washington. For those who need to visit the physical location for pharmaceuticals or other supplies, the clinic is conveniently situated.
The physical premises do offer a wheelchair-accessible car park, which is a practical and thoughtful feature for any client who might visit. However, the true accessibility of this practice lies in its ability to travel. This is a crucial benefit for owners of large animals, as transporting an ill or injured horse, cow, or goat can be a significant challenge. The ability to have a vet come directly to your farm for routine checkups, emergency services, and consultations is an unparalleled convenience. While appointments are recommended, especially for farm calls, this service model ensures that expert veterinary care is always within reach for Oregon's rural and farming communities.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I have a sick goat, I’ve called so many places and no one could see livestock, only cats and dogs. As soon as I called veterinary services of Oregon and left a voicemail they returned my call and gave me a phone consultation. They were so nice and understanding under such difficult circumstances. They even texted me giving me extra instructions on how to administer the meds. I am so grateful for their tender care.
April 05 · Lorena SWe are so grateful for the care Dr. Veeman and staff have provided our alpacas throughout the years. The entire staff of veterinarians are incredibly competent and compassionate even in the most difficult times. Regular wellness care and emergency service has always been beyond our expectations. We cannot recommend Veterinary Services of Oregon enough!
May 27 · Cynserity1The folks at Veterinary Service Oregon are amazing. My goat breeder uses them, so it was a no-brainer to use them for my 3 wethered pet goats.I have only used them for annual exams and vaccines/vitamin injections, but they have been very professional and thorough. Even though I can tell that they are very busy, I don't ever have to worry about getting a call back in a reasonable amount of time. I don't look forward to the day we have an emergency, but I feel comforted knowing that my goats will be in the best of hands! Thanks Dr.Veeman and Dr.Skurdal!
April 27 · Kat MaloneyI appreciated the return phone call to ask questions about an egg bound vs egg yolk perontinis chicken, and our options for Emergency care. They were kind, professional and I appreciated the advice they were able to provide over the phone.
March 15 · Kayla VersemanQuality services and I feel lucky to get service in the same day I called. Thanks for stitching up my hen :) she is doing great and back to her fiesty chicken self. She's the one on top of the door 😊
