I'm a proponent of constructive feedback, and I like this place generally. Not sure what it is, maybe it was a change in the vets or staff, but when i first took my dogs here a couple years back, i found the original employees to be above and beyond. They took my dog in and did the weighing, and intake, greeted me in a friendly fashion, etc., and thought that how they handled my dog to give him shots was amazing. It was like watching what I would imagine a seal team would do tactically to catch someone and inject them. I even offered to step out to avoid any embarrassment because i wasn't sure how my dog would act and didn't want them to think that i looked down on them or anything if my dog acted up. But they did it in front of me and i was incredibly impressed. They tricked my dog by entising him with peanut butter on a eating pad on the wall, and i thought it was hilarious. That being said, and again, i have no idea what it is, maybe a change in staff or something else, but the person that comes out to greet you doesn't weigh your dog for you, they make you weigh the dog now. I'm paying for some service here, not to have you make me provide the service. Additionally, when the original staff i met years back would take my dog they were very skillful in handling them and knew just what to do to get a dog to move with them, but the last time i went the person there just dragged my dog on the leash out. Secondly, i thought the staff person who took me in really reeked. I thought my dog farted or something and kept catching a strong whiff but later came to realize it was from the staff person who was doing my initial intake.I get that you're working with animals, and dogs, but i would think that they would keep a certain level of cleanliness and presentation that you would at any other hospital.Thirdly, i couldn't help but feel that the service being provided just wasn't up to par from what it used to be when i originally came in a few years back. It felt like instead of trying to service your pet, they are just trying to tack on whatever extra fees they can to milk you out of more money. I wouldn't generally mind a higher fee from others, but the service provided should speak to that, and compared to what i experienced years back to now, i just didn't see that.Lastly, I will mention what the previous staff did that i liked because it was the complete opposite this time around, and i hope that they can build upon this and improve. They actually kept me in the room because they knew the dog would feel uncomfortable with them, and had me sit by a corner, so that the dog would naturally come to me to feel more comfortable. they then scooted in closer and closer to my dog until he had nowhere to go, then distracted him with the peanut butter and gave him the shot. hardly any struggle with the dog. This time around the staff giving the shots did not do this, they just try to distract with a treat in the middle of the room which gave way for my dog to move around and it seemed to frustrate them so they grabbed the dog and had a much tougher time.Unfortunately because of the above i will just be looking elsewhere to see if i can get a better experience. - Private Account
