Farmland Pets & Feed Reviews
The lady that runs the store is super knowledgeable and is super helpful the place is small so it is a little cramped but I love it they have the widest variety of animals around here I think. It isn't a chain store so it's a little spendy on some things but overall it's a fun store to go to.( I even got to see these little guys getting ready to go to their tank tortoise babies )
Jun 03, 2025 · Tabitha #The staff here are really friendly and helpful, I want to make that clear. The local freshwater fish store closed down in my area and this was the closest one that also does freshwater. Unfortunately, the conditions of their products are very poor. Every single plant they were selling was infested with pest snails, and covered in different kinds of algae, some of it black hair algae. If they would keep shrimp in some of these tanks, that would likely help that problem at least, but they have fish in their plant display tanks... Really odd choice to cover your plants you want to sell in fish poop... The shrimp tank was basically just a hodgepodge of random shrimp with dead shrimp sitting there un-eaten. Fish tanks seemed overcrowded.I miss my old place, as they didn't have any of these problems. This store staff are really nice but I wouldn't put anything they sold into my tanks.
May 05, 2025 · TimeGlitchCentralGreat family run business! We've purchased our guppies and plecos from Farmland. They take such good care of their animals and they have a wealth of expertise in aquaculture and how to care for fish.
Jun 09, 2025 · Paul FIf you want to buy products at this place that might be fine but for the sake of decency PLEASE DON'T BUY ANY ANIMALS!I used to shop this place now and then in the mid 90's and stopped going there because it is just too bad. The animals were in such bad shape. I have seen snakes covered in ticks. I actually bought a bird that was in a room by its self completely bald just because I felt bad for it. I was there in about 2009 just to kill some time. The condition of the animals was still really bad. My adult daughter wanted to buy a puppy but I said no. It was before they had to stop selling dogs and cats. That were kept by multiples in small tanks or cages. I stopped in there in April 2025. This place has not changed one bit. As soon as you walk in you are hit in the face with a bad smell of animal pee as you walk around you start to feel bad that the animals are in such a bad place and it makes you want to buy them all. But DON'T they will just keep getting more in. The rabbits are all in a dark musty moldy smelling back area and all look half dead or scared in the back of their cage. The poultry were all sold but they hadn't cleaned out the tubs like they were going to reuse the same wood chips for the next batch and I bet they do. the bird and rodent rooms are small closet size areas are just a mess and have no ventilation. I have no idea how this place stays in business. Please go to a better shop. A shop that is bright and doesn't smell like pee and is warm for the inside animals is better. Be cautious of any good reviews as friends and family often write them and a lot of stores will give you a discount if you write a good review. I don't know if these types of stores have to be inspected but if they do and this is a pass, someone is paying someone for sure.
Apr 13, 2025 · T LI know I can always find the odd fish medication I need at farmland, fun to take a peek around at all the fish and cool critters on display too. Counting myself lucky I didn't leave with some colorful dart frogs last visit, but my angelfish's bacterial infection is almost gone thanks to you guys. I love how I can find fish and horse items here so I don't have to drive all over town or wait a week in the mail because even amazon doesnt carry it.I've somehow missed to bulk birdfood in the back section go check that out! The blue Jay's practically fist fight over the trail mix I bring home now.
