Puppy Adoption/Sale: Their core offering is connecting families with puppies. They state they offer "the finest puppies," including specific breeds like Pomeranians and Maltipoo (Maltese-Yorkie mixes).
Working with Licensed Breeders: Michigan House of Paws states that they "DO NOT breed our furry friends, We work with a variety of licensed breeders." This suggests they source puppies from external breeders rather than breeding on-site.
Puppy Health Checks: They claim that "All of our puppies come vet checked and up to date on all necessary vaccines and worming." This is a crucial aspect of puppy health upon acquisition.
7-Day Health Guarantee: The business mentions offering a "7 Day health guarantee with valid vet documentation," which would allow for a full refund if health conditions present themselves within this timeframe after purchase.
Microchipping Option: Microchipping is offered as an optional service, potentially for an additional fee.
Transportation/Delivery Service: They offer delivery service to select areas in Michigan for a flat fee on orders over a certain amount, indicating convenience for buyers in various locations.

When considering Michigan House of Paws, several aspects come to light based on the provided customer feedback, which highlight important considerations for potential buyers.
Contrasting Customer Experiences: The reviews provided present a stark contrast. One review praises the staff and owner as "really nice" and "very knowledgeable," leading to a "wonderful experience" and a "sweet" Maltipoo puppy. Conversely, another review issues a strong warning, detailing severe health issues (pneumonia, bronchitis, and a liver shunt requiring expensive surgery) in a puppy purchased from the store, attributing these to negligence and expressing profound dissatisfaction.
Importance of Health Guarantees and Veterinary Follow-Up: The negative review highlights the critical importance of health guarantees and immediate follow-up vet visits for any newly acquired puppy. While a 7-day health guarantee is stated as being offered, the experience detailed in the negative review underscores the potential for significant health issues that may not become fully apparent within this short window or may lead to substantial long-term costs.
Focus on Puppy Sales: The primary business model appears to be the sale of puppies, with the website emphasizing finding "good homes" and making the process "easy and fun."
"Treat Pups with Love and Joy": The business asserts that they "treat all of our pups with love and joy, and we create a nurturing environment for our puppies to live and play in!" This is a stated intention of the establishment.

Its accessible location on Highland Road and stated services, including vet checks and a 7-day health guarantee, are factors that might draw in prospective buyers. However, it is paramount for Michigan locals to approach puppy adoption from any source, including Michigan House of Paws, with extreme caution and a thorough understanding of the potential risks involved. The provided customer reviews underscore the widely varying experiences individuals can have, particularly concerning the health of puppies. While some have positive experiences, the severe health issues reported by another customer highlight the critical importance of independent veterinary examination immediately upon acquiring a puppy, a robust understanding of the health guarantee's limitations, and readiness for potential unforeseen medical costs. Responsible pet parents in Michigan should always prioritize comprehensive health checks and consider all available information to ensure they are making the best, most informed decision for the long-term well-being of their new family member.

Michigan House of Paws Reviews
RUN AWAY !!!!! DO NOT PURCHASE A PUPPY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!!UPDATE!!!I have a previous review about how the puppy BONNIE, that I bought from MICHIGAN HOUSE OF PAWS had pneumonia and bronchitis. After being strong enough to beat bronchitis and pneumonia we’ve found out our puppy was born with a LIVER SHUNT through blood test, while attempting to get her spayed. This is a surgery out puppy can’t live without having. This surgery costs thousands of dollars to have…. PRAY FOR BONNIE, as she have been sick her whole life due to the negligence of Michigan house of paws.YOU WILL BUY SICK PUPPIES SO STAY AWAY! I will be filing a claim against this trash “business” .

Oct 08, 2020 · NicoleWas a great experience. They are very friendly people, answer your questions in a timely manner, puppies were expensive but you get what you pay for! It has now been 2 weeks for me since I got my puppy. He went to the vet this week and it was great to hear I got a health dog. I would recommend anybody going.
Sep 25, 2021 · Andrew BBlack Business owners are not always the best people to do business with unfortunately. Several messages were left for the owner to contact me to resolve an issue that we’re experiencing with the puppy that was sold. Initially the owner Jay seemed interested in working with me and husband to resolve the issue but it was only a tactic to stall for time as our calls remained unanswered. Buyer beware. It’s best to do business with a reputable breeder that stands by ethical business standards. As per the owners response. My puppy was not purchased almost a year ago she is now 6 months old and I’ve been dealing with you for a number of months. In fact we started having conversations about the issue before Christmas. No you’re now a breeder, but I was allegedly sold a Maltipoo as stated in my contract. But she’s not, I wanted a particular breed as I studied the breeds characteristics. So this is clearly a breach of contract. Being the victim is easy, taking responsibility for our actions take work.
