Oma's Pride began with a deeply personal story. Originally a family-owned USDA poultry farm in Avon, their journey into raw pet food started in the 1990s when one of their beloved farm dogs fell ill. This experience ignited a mission to create a healthier diet for their pets, leading to the development of the raw pet food products known today as Oma's Pride. This origin story highlights a foundational commitment to animal well-being, born from firsthand experience and a desire to provide the best. Today, as a fourth-generation family-owned and operated company, that passion for animal wellness remains at their core. They have partnered with animal nutritionists and veterinarians to formalize their decades-old family recipes, ensuring their products are not only wholesome but also nutritionally balanced.
Client testimonials consistently underscore the superior quality of Oma's Pride products and their unparalleled customer service. One long-term customer, who previously made their dog's raw meals, enthusiastically shared, "After going through a few I finally settled on Oma’s pride about 5 months ago. The quality of the food is great and my dog loves the variety." This review praises the value for money, especially for larger dogs, and notes, "unless you are going to make the raw meals yourself it’s hard to beat their value and quality." The reviewer's personal visit confirmed that "they care about animals and the products they put out." Another client succinctly put it: "Quality product for a great price. And the best, and I mean THE BEST, customer service. My dogs loves the beef and salmon loafs and I recommend them to anyone who asks what I feed my pups." These heartfelt endorsements highlight Oma's Pride's dedication to both product excellence and fostering strong relationships with their customers, making them a highly recommended choice for raw pet food in Connecticut.

Oma’s Pride Reviews
After years of making my dog’s raw meals myself I finally decided to try some raw food providers to save time. After going through a few I finally settled on Oma’s pride about 5 months ago. The quality of the food is great and my dog loves the variety. I cycle through their beef, chicken, turkey and lamb veggie combos. Price is middle of the road but very fair for the quality of food you get. I’ve found cheaper brands but Oma’s quality was much better. Cost/value will also depend on the dog though. I have a 10 year old 100lb Cane Corso so I use their Extra Large dog plan reordering every 3 weeks which maintains his current size. I recently got my dad using their plan for his 3 year old 50lb Staffordshire Terrier and he uses their medium size dog plan only reordering every 4 weeks. So if you have a smaller dog the value seems to be a little better. If you have a larger or more active dog than mine you may need to speak with them about a special larger size subscription. Still unless you are going to make the raw meals yourself it’s hard to beat their value and quality. Overall I’m very happy with their food and how my dog’s body seems to be responding to it. Oma’s pride is a small local business so I was able to check them out in person and you can tell they care about animals and the products they put out. Whenever I’ve had an issue or question their customer service has been great. I highly recommend them!
Mar 03, 2025 · Triplefat CryptoQuality product for a great price. And the best, and i mean THE BEST, customer service. My dogs loves the beef and salmon loafs and i recommend them to anyone who asks what i feed my pups.
Apr 10, 2025 · Marta BelyakovaI make my own raw. For chicken necks, Oma's are the best. Skinless and clean and easy to store and feed. Just great.
Jun 11, 2025 · Hester ReikI've fed my sport dogs Oma's Pride raw food for many years. My Labrador is now 12 years old and still competing. My whippet has won multiple titles in multiple sports. I love their Woof complete formula, their Performance Dog formula, and their chicken and turkey necks. I highly recommend them
Jan 13, 2021 · ParaI like the product and what it does for my dog. So much so I’ve signed up for an every 6 week delivery subscription for it. But I actually haven’t been able to get them to delivery my product on schedule. And when they run out of the product, they don’t bother telling their returning customers that their order will be delayed. Instead they just charge your card and wait for you to reach out to them to find out where your order is? Their customer service could use some work!
