Pet World Reviews
My partner and I stopped in yesterday afternoon to inquire about the Kitty City adoption process, and had a great conversation with Debra about what to expect. It's clear the cats are well taken care of and are meticulously matched with the right adopters. The store itself is huge, and all of the volunteers and employees were incredibly nice. Looking forward to many more visits!
Feb 24, 2025 · Daniel FlynnI used to love this place! I adopted a kitten and purchased all the food, toys, and litter. I have gotten dog treats for my boss here-greenies! I have purchased bird seed. I also have an 8year old cat and have supported this Business since they were in their old location across the parking lot.Recently, purchased a pet carrier. I asked when buying if I could return it if my cat was too big? They said absolutely and to keep the receipt. Now, I understand it took me a few weeks to get back to do the return and it may have looked like I used it and returned it. But it simply wasn’t the case. In the mean time, I had went online to replace it and found a bigger one, same company, for $37. I just couldn’t get there before they close at 6 to return and purchase a new ones. Anyways… I Put my cat in, she is 7 lbs but long. She didn’t fit, so I returned it. Not realizing it had a few hairs in it, she said “this is dirty, we can’t take it back”. $55I purchased a toy, the price sticker placed directly on the toy ripped the toy so I returned. The toy was $1.29 for 1 or $6.99 for 4???. Not a big deal but have purchased in the past- cat loves them! Went online to fine more- $6.99 for 24! Same balls. Was slightly annoyed at the price difference but I like supporting small businesses. But also was given attitude about returning it- the sticker they use to price it- was ripping the toy when removing. Ugh. I kept previous balls that this has happened to but they don’t last long. So I decided enough was enough, I was going to return it.While returning, I expressed my frustration and the woman had an attitude. I explained, the person who rang me out said I could see if my 7lb cat would fit in the small sized carrier. She said hold the receipt. I did. But because there was a few cat hairs- I couldn’t.I wanted to purchase a cat tree tower. With this experience, I will not be purchasing the $400 tree. Curious about prices in the exact same tower- I did an online search and found the tree for $185-$220. Again, I like to shop local but this experience makes me want to send my money elsewhere, no issues with returns and no issues with customer service.I asked to speak to a manager and then she said she would do my return. Was she kind about it, not exactly. I’m grateful for the return. But the experience alone was not how I wanted to end my week. With everything going on in the world and the importance of shopping local- these experiences make that hard. My hard earned dollars that I plan to spend in these local small businesses should be appreciated.
Mar 07, 2025 · Erin Grafton Almeida-LuthHad a great experience with cat adoption. The woman answered all of our questions and gave us plenty of information about the 2 kittens we were adopting. The day we took them home she went over all the paperwork and explained what it all meant and really made the whole experience delightful.
Dec 01, 2024 · Lisa ConwayI love the variety of products this store has. So much better than PetSmart or any of the other stores. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. And I love stopping in to say hi to Blue, the owner's blue and gold macaw. He's awesome. They also have cats for adoption.
Feb 17, 2025 · Lindsey ColellaI had the privilege of adopting a big female tiger kitty who has been named Bella. She is truly special, a love and very playful. I loved the space you have set aside for the cats. I appreciated having everything one would need if one comes unprepared to actually adopt. The place was clean, the volunteer and staff were very friendly and professional.
