Petco Reviews
Love this store. Unfortunately I have found myself on numerous occasions answering questions for people in the fish department because the employees either don't know the answer or give the wrong answer. They also don't seem to care much about the homes the fish are going home to. I watched a lady buy 4 goldfish and tell the employee that they were for her brand new 5 gallon aquarium. The employee said that sounded like a good set up. Goldfish need at least 30 gallons for 1 fish. Please educate your employees on how to take care of fish.
Jun 01, 2025 · April CostThis Petco location continues to go further and further down hill. There are a handful of good, kind employees like Mari (who is a treasure to this world) at the register and some of the pet care people but other than that this location has no redeeming qualities. The store is constantly a mess with palates all over, horribly maintained fish tanks and dried dog urine all over the isles. They even employ people in management positions who were FIRED from their number 1 competitor. The entrance to the store constantly wreaks of urine from customer dogs peeing (which happens but regularly cleaning would keep the odor under control. Clearly that isn't happening)The parking lot is a disaster, and has been for a long time. Drive careful because there are loads of potholes. Petco is responsible for managing the sidewalks outside of the store but the company they have hired to clear the parking lot and sidewalks does such a poor job that as I was leaving Saturday I saw a woman in a motorized wheelchair on the sidewalk with only one leg having to try her best to shovel out a path so she could get through. All the other surrounding businesses had clear sidewalks. Thankfully I was able to get out and shovel for her. It had been 4 days since the snow storm and the weather was beautiful out. There is absolutely no reason for such poorly maintained sidewalks that a disabled woman was having to try and shovel it herself. The management team should be paying attention and if their parking lot maintenance company can't get out there then a manager should be getting out there to shovel so that the community and customers can safely navigate the parking lot and sidewalks.I really enjoy chatting with people like Mari when I come each week to buy dog food, cat foot and crickets but until this store gets a major management change and remodel I will be limiting how often I frequent this location moving forward.
Feb 24, 2025 · Hayley Nicole BeckNot sure why a full exam was needed just for rabies shots. The cost given was over 120.00 and the reason behind needing a full exam, was that's our policy. Well, I've called other veterinarian clinics and none of them require an exam prior unless you request. Needless to say, no exams or shots were given as I took my furbabies and walked out. It's the OVER PRICING FOR ME!
May 24, 2025 · Bugatti MatlockMAKE SURE THEY WEIGH YOUR DOG IN FRONT OF YOU OR ELSE THEY WILL LIE AND MAKE YOU PAY MORE MONEY!! I wish I could give 0 stars for the employee lying and trying to steal money from us. I have been going to this Petco for 5 years and I have never had any issues with using this Petco location until yesterday. Medium sized dogs get charged $10 more than a small sized dog, (which is fair since there is more to shave) and for a dog to be considered medium they need to weigh 27 pounds according to the lady at the grooming counter. We walk in and they say “Yeah your dog weighs 27 pounds.” They said that just by looking at her without physically putting her on the scale. We knew she wasn’t 27 pounds because we had just taken her to the vet 2 weeks before where she weighed 21pounds. We left for a couple of hours and then we received the text that said she was ready to be picked up. We got there and we asked if she weighed our dog and she said “Yes, she weighs 27 pounds.” We were worried that our dog might be sick if she gained 5 pounds in 2 weeks so we asked the employee to weigh her again. She was hesitant but did it in front of us and our dog only weighed 22 pounds. She lied straight to our faces just so they could get more money from us. Lying is not okay. Unethical, no integrity. I’m afraid to use this location ever again now because I feel like I’m not getting the full service I pay for.
Feb 05, 2025 · Jillian DinkelI went to the 72nd and Dodge store in a panic, Maximus had just gotten neutered and my cone was too small (I was unable to use his harness) and I had an old little collar. Jonn not only helped find one that fit, he fastened it to a better collar with little zip ties for me. Superior customer service, I am so grateful for his care.
