I went here to get some frozen treats after I went to Dosa for some Indian food. They recommended the frosty paws. It was mid. The worms are much better and full of nutrients. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I like to use the pet spa since Hightstown raised my water bill 40% this year, and money is tight. I just wish they’d stop asking me if I have a Petco card. The rewards expire too fast to redeem. Otherwise, I’d give five stars.
Jul 01, 2025 · Best Local ReviewsI went to Petco with my boyfriend on June 16th around 4PM. We bought a new beta fish, it was one of the tangerine koi betas and it was about $20-$25. The lady who helped us with the fish was very knowledgeable and helpful. But when we got to the check out line, it got a little weird. When it was our turn, the staff at the front was more concerned with one of the employees “bottom” surgery for transitioning into a different gender. Their conversation took priority over our transaction and it made us put off. We just wanted to get out of the store and get home since it had been a long day, and the whole transaction took probably three times longer than it needed to because of their discussion. Because the conversation was more important than us, we told them to keep the change and hurried out as fast as we could. We just listened to an entirely inappropriate conversation and wasted our time. (We are both gay men and don’t care if you’re transitioning, it’s a matter of it being an inappropriate time and topic of conversation.)Fast forward to a week later and the beta has died. We called to see what the return policy was and without a receipt l, we have to accept the loss. Even though there are security cameras and they should be able to pull up the receipt.Don’t waste your time at this pet store. Petsmart is not even 13 minutes down the road, I recommend taking your business there.

Meadow is a large breed and good, but can be a lot of dog just by looking at her.Olivia is wonderful was Meadow, not only she is was Petco wants as an employee or groomer is knowledgeable. But Olivia takes that extra step of caring. She took her time with me at both occasions, a check in and out never rushed to talk about the grooming experience or to make sure i had all proper documentation.Olivia made sure I left with the information to join for Petco grooming and to make sure to login, which I have not because at the register they did not give me a receipt (my fault). Meadow and I cannot say enough good things about Olivia and Petco East Windsor grooming. Thank you, Olivia for being excellent!

While most of the staff are friendly and helpful, Jen’s approach is rude, confrontational and unnecessarily harsh. On multiple visits, she has spoken to customers in a loud, judgmental tone, making the entire store privy to what feels more like a lecture than a conversation. It creates an uncomfortable and unwelcoming atmosphere for anyone just trying to care for their pet. It's unfortunate, because the rest of the team seems great—but getting past that first point of contact is a challenge.

The manager of the store has not provided any solution other than a refund for the product and takes days to respond. The one time I spoke with there over the phone she was rude and told me to send an email. she never responded and when I escalated the situation she tried to say she responded the same day but she did not. This store fails to taste ownership in their products and will not help you after they took your money. Do not shop here.
