I left my fur baby there for a three day weekend board. I spoke with staff there regarding my concern about him being taken out to relieve himself a minimum of 3 times a day and right before bedtime as he is a small breed (10 lbs.) and less than 1yo. The staff reassurred me that he was in good hands. However, when he was picked up and bought to me I saw that his stomach, feet and groin areas were soiled from dried urine, he is light cream in color so it was highly visable. I'm disabled due to surgery and didn't go in and get him personally and it's a good thing I didn't because they wouldn'thave gotton a penny from me! The staff here are kind and polite when talking to you, but leaving my dog lying in urine is never acceptable!😡 In fact, he did something he has NEVER done and urinated on my couch the day after I bought him home. They do a good job at Grooming, but DO NOT BOARD YOU PET HERE IF YOU CARE ABOUT HIM/HER. - Charlotte Jackson

A Suburban Animal Center has been a part of the Cleveland community, and with recent changes in management, it is striving to redefine the standard of animal care. They understand that every pet is unique, with their own personality, preferences, and sometimes, specific health or behavioral requirements. The center aims to be more than just a facility; it endeavors to be a loving extension of your home for your pet when you can't be with them.

The philosophy at A Suburban Animal Center, especially under its new management, revolves around providing a "hands-on loving family" environment. This means that animals are not confined to small kennels or forgotten; instead, they are actively engaged, walked, exercised, and played with by a dedicated staff. This emphasis on interaction, socialization, and personalized attention is crucial for the mental and physical well-being of pets, particularly during daycare or boarding stays. They recognize that a happy pet is often a tired pet, and they strive to ensure that pets are stimulated and comfortable throughout their time at the center.
