Routine Wellness and Preventative Care: This is a cornerstone of maintaining your pet's long-term health. These services are crucial for early detection and prevention of health issues.

Dental Care: Oral health is a vital component of a pet's overall well-being. Services commonly include professional dental cleanings (scaling and polishing, often under anesthesia), and potentially extractions of diseased teeth. They would also offer advice on maintaining good oral hygiene practices at home to prevent dental disease.
General Medical Care for Illness and Injury: Beyond preventative care, the hospital provides expert medical attention for pets experiencing acute illnesses, injuries, or chronic conditions. This involves thorough examinations, accurate diagnosis, and the development of appropriate treatment plans to restore health and comfort.
Surgical Procedures: Most veterinary hospitals perform various surgical procedures. These typically include routine soft tissue surgeries such as spaying and neutering. Patient safety during surgery is paramount, involving pre-surgical screenings and careful anesthetic monitoring.
Pain Management: Ensuring pets are comfortable and free from pain is an important aspect of their care. The hospital would employ various methods for pain management, utilizing appropriate medications for both acute and chronic pain conditions, whether due to injury, surgery, or ongoing health issues.
Discussions and Options for Pet Owners: As indicated by client feedback, the clinic prioritizes discussing options and providing information to pet owners regarding their animal's care, allowing for informed decision-making. Total Care Veterinary Hospital Reviews
This place is more for healthy dogs. If your dog is sick or Injured you will get sent somewhere else. Like most places now they want the easy jobs. I took my dog there one afternoon about 430. I was filthy and tired from working since before light. My dog was staggering and unable to stand. I asked to be seen. I was told by the receptionist to take my dog somewhere else . They were better equipped to handle her. I thought this was a veterinary hospital. This dog means more to me than any human I know. I would hurt someone very badly over this dog. Since I was dirty I got the " maybe she got into some drugs". I started to ask her if she had been in a case of Twinkies. Bottom line is I wouldn't take my animal to a place that wouldn't even take the time to examine my best friend because Grey's Anatomy was coming on. Yes it was 430. But if you love animals and really value what you do . You don't Insinuate they can't pay or are on drugs. At the very least they could have looked at her . My dog deserves a vet and assistant that loves animals as much as my dog loves me. I'm saddened that vets have turned healing into just a paycheck . God appointed us all as stewards over the animals to care and look after them. I don't want my baby in the hands of people that are lackadaisical when it comes to the care of what I hold dear. I waited a few weeks before submitting this review to give myself time to think more clearly and not come from a place of anger. Take your loved one there if you want. I will not trust my best friend to an establishment that values a clock over animals . My dog was cared for elsewhere and is doing much better. I guess it's true. You find out who really cares when you are at your lowest. The love you ha myBcve for your kids and for your pet are the cutest kind of love. I would take that kind of love 10 to one over that of a woman. Women take and always think they are owed more.
Jun 25, 2025 · Mark WalkerFirst time visit after 10 plus years going to Another vet. Big difference and so thankful. Caring and took time to discuss option. THANK YOU!
Jul 04, 2025 · Eric BarnesThe best care, and the nicest people! Everyone at Total Care makes every effort to welcome and reassure our dogs from the moment we walk in.
Jun 25, 2025 · Claire HorneyTaking our beloved Daisy to Total care was not rare. We are clients for many years. Daisy wasn't herself for a few days now and we were concerned. Daisy was found under a car in my sister's neighborhood, she was able to lure her out and gratefully get her to a Vet for evaluation. She was about 9-10 years old. Otherwise in good health and hungry my Sister couldn't keep her as she traveled a lot and asked if I wanted another dog. We had a meet and greet and she melted my heart and was brought to her forever home. After this recent visit to the hospital and the news no pet lover wants to hear,we had to make a decision. This wasn't going to be about money or are we doing the right thing,it was about her quality of life with the time she had left. Daisy brought us unconditional love and happiness that I'm sure many of you have experienced. We wanted to give her a pain free and peaceful end. Not an ending to the memories she gave us but to any suffering she would have gone through. Thank you Total Care/Skeetclub friends for your out pouring love and kind words. You are all where you are suppose to be. God bless you all Joe
May 08, 2024 · Joe CarrollAs a veterinarian I knew this would be the best place to bring my toy poodle for her spay surgery. The entire staff is loving to pets, knowledgeable, compassionate and professional. Dr. Goho performed completely atraumatic surgery as evidenced by the fact that she came home perky and pain free! I highly recommend Total Care Veterinary Hospital and their sister practice Skeet Club Veterinary Hospital!
