Acadia Veterinary Hospital Reviews
We are passing through town with our 15 yr old Puggle. Acadia got us in on short notice and Dr Ben and the staff were amazing with her and with explaining things to me. Highly recommend!
Jun 10, 2025 · Vali ReinhardtPlace was great! Was up on vacation and my dog got scratched in the eye by a cat. They were able to take us in same day while other places refused to help (was working down a list). They contacted my normal vet for records, got blood work, fecal sample, serum created and eye meds all for an awesome price. If I lived in Bar Harbor I would definitely switch to them as my vet.
Jun 24, 2025 · Greg MooreAcadia has been taking care of our pets for over two decades. We trust them, and we always know that they will help us to the very best of their ability. We are very fortunate to have this service in our local community. We also rescue kitties and they are always there for us.
Apr 04, 2025 · Laurie CoteVery attentive to Lassie. Caring doctors and staff. Acadia took us in, when I couldn't find anyone else to take care of our dog. Can't say enough and I greatly appreciate everyone there.
Apr 03, 2025 · Sherry DixonI am a traveler with my companION named Ion... a 2 year old adventurous and athletic Pitti-Boxer. Ion got a split nail while hiking in Maine and was favoring the paw. Not that it should be expected at all times, but, they were able to get us in the same day and were wonderfully compassionate. If you want to tease Dr. Ben, wear a Cleveland jacket with a big red "C" on it ... he'll be excited and assume you, too, are a Cornell graduate. Ion is much stronger than we expected and did not take well to the initial attempt at sedation, however, gentle coaxing with the first mini-shot got us to the point that Ion fell asleep and the offending paw was properly trimmed. I can't say enough about both the animal and people skills! Though new to the practice, I'd take any animal to Dr. Ben and Acadia. Thank you!
