Animal Emergency Clinic of The Hudson Valley Reviews
We had to put down our kitty Ralph due to him suffering with thymoma that we couldn’t treat properly, and everyone there was great. The front desk lady was very kind and understanding while I cried picking out an urn, and the vets let me and my mother spend as much time with him saying goodbye as we wanted. They were very compassionate and empathetic and overall everyone was perfect. When I picked up Ralph’s urn it was engraved with his name and they added an encased mold of his paw print that i wasn’t expecting. It made me cry seeing his urn and the paw print but it was so nice having his paw print forever. (I printed out the photo of him for the paw print case)
Jun 15, 2025 · Gretchen SchirmerI cannot express the depth of my gratitude to this business. My husky Samantha, past away abruptly on a Saturday almost a month ago. My vet was closed and so I reached out here and despite being one of the saddest days of my life so far; my experience was more than I expected and could hope for.I got Samantha back five days later. And I expected just her ashes in the urn I picked out , but got so much more than that. Everything was of a wonderful quality and the most meaningful thing I got was a cast of her paw print which I had no idea would be included. Thank you so much!
May 30, 2025 · Eddie ThybergBrought my kitten Spud in the other day because he was coughing and gagging every 5 minutes and I was really worried. The receptionist was very nice and so was the vet tech and doctor. They treated my kitty with compassion and put me at ease. And the great thing was they were not busy at all and we were the first to be taken in. 2 days later he is 100% back to normal. The fee was very reasonable for an emergency clinic. Well worth it. Thank you all!! 🙏
Feb 13, 2025 · Sarah MarieThis review is LONG overdue. I am finally righting it after reading a review about the veterinarian who’s worked with me before: Dr. Black. To begin, I’m sorry that healthcare for humans and animals alike is the crazy world it is and for those not in it it appears to be for financial gains only and you’d think those is either world (I work with people) are cold hearted but I assure you we are not. Initially I brought my beautiful Bella Noche back in October of 2024 because her respiratory system wasn’t working like it should. I knew she’d gotten the short stick I life as far as her heart went but watching my baby struggle to perform the a simple act of breathing was horrible! We got there sometime around 9-10 in the morning and she rushed back. She was put on oxygen, medications were given IV and that amazing team fought to help her. They got her through the night and we began medication. She did good for a couple of months with the medication but it wasn’t going to be something that permanent fixed anything for her. We ended up back after the new year and again Dr Black was amazing, compassionate and kind. We discussed the progression and what the future might look like for my baby, we fought and won again before later in the month where I ended up bringing her to my regular vet (it happened while they were open for the first time) where we agreed it wasn’t fair to keep doing this to her. For her part in my baby Belle’s care Dr Black was by far the most crucial advocate for her, myself and the reality of congestive heart failure. I will never be able to thank Dr Black enough for everything. Please remember that every single case is different, the factors that go into each individual being. Are for vary drastically.
May 03, 2025 · Ashley McNeilI just wanted to say that I apologize to Dr Black and her staff for not having faith in the veterinarian field because that night when I came in with lucky I was so depressed so emotional and I didn't believe anyone was trying to save him they spent hours on him and I just spent my money on him because if I could have saved him I would have and I'm sure if they could have saved them they would have to. I know that veterinarians going to this field because I love animals and as we all would love to say if they can save every animal in there they would but unfortunately some cannot be saved. It took me over weeks to get over this because I was thinking of a thousand to one things and didn't know what could have happened to him because I take very good care of my cats. And this was never one of the signs that he had displayed according to Dr Black he had cancer of the liver and when he jumped around he just kept bleeding inside and he got worse and there was nothing I could have done for him. If I could best believe I would have now since I got the news I can relax my mind and not feel mentally depressed anymore thank you Dr Black and your staff for really looking out for lucky I truly appreciate you you went way on and above to try to save my baby
