★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Our Athena needed emergency care and local emergency vets were all full. I called AEH and after giving them the details they held a spot for her until I could get there. They took her in and did an ultrasound to confirm the emergency surgery was needed. They kept me informed throughout the night until surgery was done and over the course of the next couple of days they kept us up to date on her progress with calls and pictures. I was even able to be in her pen with her the morning after surgery and was very impressed with her quality of care and the facility. She is a month out from surgery now and as good as new. I highly recommend them!
August 18 · Kate LivingstonOur senior injured himself and our vet could not get us in for the type of appointment we needed. We were directed to contact AEH and they got us right in. Our Old man could not walk and was in serious pain. They were very loving and kind. Despite being given the strongest pain shot they could give he was still in a lot of pain. We made the tough choice and assisted him over the rainbow bridge. They were compassionate and professional at the same time. We were allowed to be with him before, during and after. They even provided chocolate which unfortunately he was in too much pain to eat. Like going to ER vs going to your doctor, prices were higher, but I absolutely appreciate them being there for us and Old man Diego!
July 14 · Jennifer AdamsThe staff is awesome. The doctors really care. We came in hot with my baby at 7 1/2 years old. Diagnosed with tumor on spleen bleeding into his abdomen. They gave us all the options and worked with us to understand and make the right decision. This is never easy but we knew everything we needed to know to make a decision. This is 2nd dog we've been here with and I would come again! The doc was great! We were there before, during and after. Couldn't have made it any easier. Thank you.
August 05 · Cheri GovierMy baby girl Roxy couldn't eat for two days because she swallowed some items that got stuck in her small intestine. The ladies that work here did their absolute best to help her. I didn't have enough money to pay for the surgery upfront but there's other payment options. Unfortunately Roxy never recovered from this but the doctor went above and beyond to help her. I would highly recommend this hospital.
June 11 · Sylva BrooksWent in last night 6/1/25 w/ a potential emergency for my 14 year old dog. The staff was absolutely wonderful. Katie the front desk was above and beyond with her customer service and reassurance to us while he was getting examined. Dr. Ricketts was clear, concise, and did not force any procedures on us as we were just ensuring he we safe to wait until the morning so we could get in our personal vet. These guys deal with stressful situations 24/7 while keeping calm and collected and it really showed. We appreciate everything they did and feel A TON better if we ever need their emergency services in the future. Thank you all and sorry I did not recollect the male and female techs that helped as well. My dog thanks you for helping him out.
